At the tournament I went to there was about 50-80 people there. I battled
with 10 people there and my score was 6 wins 4 losses. I think the only
problem was against a fire/electric deck. I did good against fighting/psychic
decks and fire/water decks. In the 1st round I battled an all water deck. The
kid used mainly Gyarados and I got Oddish, Pinsir, Pokémon Breeder, and
Dratini in my 1st draw. I sent out Oddish against his Magikarp and paralyzed
it. Pinsir and Dragonite were my main pokémon. Oddish beat his Blastoise by
paralyzing it every turn except 1, which killed it.
The 2nd round I lost against a kid with Fire/Electric pokémon. He brought
out Zapdos his 1st turn and I got Articuno, 5 water energy, and PlusPower. I
put down Articuno and a water energy. He attached an energy and it was my
turn. I attached another energy. He then evolved his Voltorb into Electrode
and used BuzzZap to turn it into 2 energy. He attached one more energy to
Zapdos and attacked me, killing me in 1 hit. I sent out the Oddish I picked
up as a prize, and again he won.
The other wins were mainly the same as the 1st round. The point of this
deck is to get out Ditto, Articuno, Clefairy, Ekans, or Pinsir and then get
Pokémon Breeder, Dratini, and Dragonite. Vileplume is in there just in case
and Vaporeon is one of the main goals. If you draw and Ekans and Arbok,
evolve the Ekans. Poison your opponent and you're in for a quick win if you
get the right cards. Muk is there for it's Pokémon Power, for example no
pokémon power can be used after you activate Muk's Toxic Gas power, making
Charizard worthless if you don't have the right energy and Alakazam is
practically useless. Ditto cannot be used after the power is used (it's power
is tranform and it has no attacks). One good suggestion is that you take away
1 Energy Search and add an Energy Retrieval.
