I'm feeling pretty good about this "next generation haymaker".  It beats
up on Rain Dances with Buzz and Scyther, kills traditional Haymakers
with Erika's Dratini, Scyther and Magmar, and destroys Damage Swap with
the poison of Magmar and the resistance of Erika's Dratini.  It also got
5 last week here ;-).  Here's the deck.  One problem.  I have 2 gym
cards in this deck.  I will supply translations, since the store allows
Jap cards and these are great ones.

POKEMON
4 Scyther
4 Magmar (fossil, of course)
4 Electabuzz
2 Erika's Dratini (traslation:  40HP,  Retreat: C, Weakness: none,
Resistance: Psychic  Pokemon Power:  Whenever this card is attacked by a
basic Pokemon, any damage done to Erika's Dratini is reduced to 10.
This power cannot be used if Erika's Dratini is asleep, confused, of
paralyzed.  Attack:  10+  flip coin.  If heads, do an additional 20
damage)

TRAINERS
4 Bill
2 Professor Oak
4 Energy Removal
2 Energy Retrieval
4 Gust of Wind
4 PlusPowers
2 Item Finders
1 Computer Search
1 Scoop Up

ENERGY
11 Fire Energy
8 Electric Energy
3 Double Colorless Energy

Round 1 v Newbie
Easy, easy match.  He seemed to think that the more colors, more pokemon
the better.  I soon proved that wrong by beating him in approximatly 5
minutes.  I started a Scyther, with a Buzz and a Magmar on the bench.
Since I had a ton of Fire energy in my hand, I retreated for Magmar and
poisoned and PlusPowered for a couple of easy prizes and win number 1.
1-0

Round 2 v Fighting
This guy was a little better than the last one, but Scyther always wins
against fighting decks.  Scyther did the whole game, and he did it
well.  I think I had 6 prizes in 11 turns with some PlusPower and item
finder help.  So Scyther wins me number 2.
2-0

Round 3 v Damage Swap
Now is when the competition heats up.  He got his damage swap set up in
3(!) turns, so I thought I was screwed.  Fortunatly, I got a Magmar
poison against Mimes.  He probably would have still won, but he drew 4
energy the entire game. I removed 2 and the other half went to
retreating poisoned Mimes.  Suprisingly, it was yet another easy win.
3-0

Round 4 v Rain Dance
Now that I proved I was a contender, I am hearing all about a Danny
Aponte and how he was going to annihilate me if I played him.
Fortunatly I didn't.  I did play a Rain Dance with 3 Blastioses in it.
Unfortunatly for the guy I was playing, they were somewhere near the
bottom of his deck.  He starts Magikarp and I start Scyther.  No benches
for either of us.  As you can guess, I won the match in my second turn.
4-0

Wow, 4-0.  I was ranked second against Danny's first.  A lot of the
regulars were missing, so Danny kept saying he was going to have an easy
win.  I watched him play and figured out his deck stategy while I was
waiting for the results.  Then they finally came in... and I was paired
against one of my best friends, Andrew Christman!!  The ultimate
showdown!!

Round of 16 v Traditional Haymaker
All right!!  I get to play a Haymaker!!  And I also get to play my
friend, and prove to him I'm better!!  Start a Scyther v Scyther.  I won
the flip, retreated for a Magmar on my bench, and smokescreened for 20.
He let Scyther out there while he powered up a Buzz(stupid move).  I
PlusPowered to draw a prize, after putting an energy on Magmar.  He got
his Buzz powered up and did 40 to my Magmar.  I put an energy on my
Scyther, and retreated Magmar.  He did 40 to my Scyther.  I put a DCE on
my Scyther, Oaked,  Billed twice,  laid down 2 PlusPowers, Computer
Searched for another one, and Item Findered for my last one, and killed
the Buzz and won the first round!!!!  The next game was pretty long, and
to make a long story short, I won by drawing my last prize with 6 cards
left in my deck.
6-0!!!!

Top 8 v Rain Dance
I still trailed Aponte by one place, so I played 7, who had a Rain
Dance.  Word was getting around I played a "ScyMarBuzz", loved
PlusPowers, and might be a challenge to Danny.  Anyway, this Rain Dance
got set up fairly quickly,  but with some bad flips by Articuno and
Lapras, and good flips by Electabuzz, and of course plenty of
PlusPowers, I won another match.  The second one was pretty close.
Fortunatly he didn't get set up quite quick enough, and I only had to
deal with Squirtles, Wartortles, and the occaisional underpowered
Gyrados.  Scyther and Electabuzz had no problem taking the second game.
8-0!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Final Four v another Rain Dance
Still Second, but by now Aponte was pretty worried, due to the fact he
now had 2 losses on his record and I still didn't have any.  I love
playing against Rain Dances.  They're so easy with this deck.  Took out
all Squirtles quickly with PlusPowered Electabuzzes, and then killed a
couple of Poliwhirls with Scyther.  Articuno gave me a problem due to
multiple paralasis and bench destruction, but Erika's Dratini saved the
day and won the match.  I started Erika's Dratini v a Lapras next game.
When he finally confused me,  I had multiple Scythers and Electabuzzes
ready to win another match.
10-0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Championship v Danny Aponte
Oh boy.  Danny had about 20 people cheering for him, and I had 4.  It
started Scyther v Scyther, with a Magmar on my bench and a Hitmonchan on
his.  We each had plenty of energy, and very little removals, and those
basics were our only two.  We played hit and run for a while, untill I
killed his Scyther after he killed my Magmar.  Now it was a Chan v
Scyther.  You would think this would be an easy match,  but my Scyther
had 6 damage on him opposed to Hitmo's one.  Fortunatly, with some real
card drawing power and a little luck, I got 3 PlusPowers and won the
first match!!!!!  The second game was really close, but he won by
drawing his last prize when each of us had 2 cards on our deck.  The
third game was a killer.  I went first, and we proceded to use gigantic
amounts of card drawing power to try to win quickly.  With each of us
having 2 turns left, I got my Erika's Dratini, retreated, and stalled
him.  I WON THE TOURNAMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  The store
owner almost fainted.  Danny sat stunned for at least 5 minutes, staring
at the place where the  #!X#$@@%#^@@$^&@#%$*^  Erika's Dratini was.  By
then I was outta there, because I it was 7:30!!!
12-1

PoJo, PLEASE post this even though I have the Erika's Dratini in, and I
have violated rule 5, I put a lot of time into this report, and I would
really be thankful if you posted it, or at least give me a reply if you
don't post it.
