This deck is called Thunder Strike. I have used it many times before, but I never thought that it would be very good, until we had a surprise tournament at our Pokemon League shop. The tournament was on October 5th, 1999, in Niceville, Florida. It was at a shop called Comics Direct. About 30 people participated. Here is my awesome deck...

5x PlusPower
        Energy
2x Double Colorless Energy
19x Lightening Energy

In this tournament, (tourney) we played five rounds, then a semi-final, then a final.

Round 1: I played a little girl who knew basically nothing, but she had a pretty good deck. It was a Fighting Type deck, which is strong against my deck. she brought out a Machop, but had a Machamp in her hand. On her bench, she had a Mysterious Fossil, a Hitmonlee, and a Sandshrew. I brought out a Pikachu, a Electrabuzz, 4 lightening energy, and a PlusPower. I sent out Electrabuzz and attached one energy to it and used Thundershock. It paralyzed her. Then I just kept attacking with Electrabuzz and killed her Machop, her Hitmonlee, and her Sandshrew. Then my Zapdos came out and when it was built up, it killed her Kabutops, Aerodactyl, and her Mankey. That's how I won.

Round 2: This time it was a boy with a Water Deck. I got my Zapdos and Chansey, along with 5 energies. I let Chansey get wailed on by his Squirtle, which then evolved into Wartortle, then a Blastoise. When Zapdos was built up, I switched Pokemon, used my Thunder, and killed the Blastoise. (Due to Weaknesses!) After that, his Eevee, Horsea, Tentacool, Vaporeon, and Jigglypuff went by fast.

Round 3: This round was against a full-grown man, and he was very, very good. I never got my Zapdos out, before his Water Deck killed my Pikachus (3 of them), my Magnemite, my Voltorb, and my Eevee, with one Blastoise! I never knocked one out! Oh, well. One loss.

Round 4: A full grown lady this time. She had her son, I guess, looking over her shoulder and helping her. They went by pretty fast, but when I had one more Pokemon of hers to kill, the manager came over and disqualified her for having her son help her. So, chalk up another one for me!

Round 5: A little girl again, maybe 7 years old, this one had a fire deck, and I went through her deck so fast I don't remember anything except for when her Charizard (1st Edition!!!) came out. My Zapdos was out, and I used thunderbolt, which took 100 points away from it's life, but then I had no energy on Zapdos and the Charizard killed it, but then my Pikachu came out and delivered the final 20 points to the Charizard, killing it.

Semi-Finals: The Semi-Finals for me was against a boy with a rainbow deck, and he had no energy for his Mewtwo that was out, so I killed that guy pretty fast, and in the middle of the round, he ran out of Pokemon, so he had to forfeit the match.

Finals: The finals for me was against gym leader, and he died pretty fast. His Water Deck almost killed me, but my Chansey delivered the final blow to his, once again, a Blastoise. That got me the win.

When I won, I got no money, or any cards, but I did get 200 points towards my badges. That was pretty good. Well, this deck is my best, and I have one for each color.  If you do decide to use this deck, I wouldn't recommend playing for keeps, because it is a deck that has a lot of cards that are worth a lot. Well, hope you find this deck helpful. If there are any problems, E-mail me at pika486@yahoo.com. Thanks!
