Hi im Matt Mclean.
We have tourneys at this shop called Tactics in Perth, Western
Australia. So I got the game on Wednesday, had no-one to play against then my
friend got it on Thurs, starter kit... I kicked his ass every time though. I
went in a tourney on Saturday so heres my deck.
Water/Fighting:
1 diglett
2 Farfetched
3 machop (20 damage, 50 hp and only require one card!)
1 doduo (just a card in there as its cheap, like diglett)
2 sandshrew (im not sure about these yet...0
2 machoke
2 onix (great starters as their hp are highand only need one
card)
3 staryu (same as machop)
1 starmie (recover is great!)
2 seel ( weak, but i wait for my dewgong to come in)
2 dewgong (these are TOUGH! Two water energy and one
whatever wakes aurora beam the best!)
2 squirtle (i think wartortle are good so i include em)
2 Wartortle ( i think these are great, only needing one water
energy and does double damage on fire)
2 poliwag (their ok)
1 poliwhirl ( one word: doubleslap, i win almost all my coin
tosses so double damage on fire could kill charizard in one go if two
heads!!!)
13 WATER ENERGY (NEEDS IMPROVEMENT MAYBE ANOTHER FOUR)
13 fighting energy (its ok)
3 energy removal (really ****s people off)
1 super potion (its great!)
1 defender

I only remember two games so ill tell you them.
2nd Game: Me VS redhaired kid
This kid had 3 Charizard in his deck, but he drew up one vulpix
and trainers in his turn. I drew two staryu and a farfetched and applied one
water to staryu (i won the toss) and did double damage which left him with 10
left. He drew another trainer and i slapped wiping him out and he had no other
basics.
Two turns!
Results: WIN!
Note: I played him again and I lost as i had a crappy hand.
Shows how much this game depends on luck!
Game2: Me VS Mr Tickle
Mr Tickle was aguy in a leather jacket and had a coin with
heads on both sides. The bastard tricked me the first time!
I started (again) and had some Staryus and 2 machop (i cant
remember really) and put water on the staryu. He has electabuzz! and heaps! my
water pokemon were screwed so i hit anyway. I could have won (it was sudden
death, we had to kill one of each others pokemon) but i sent out onix and
forgot farfetched had a resistance to fighting. I screwed up big time....
nothing i could do could help me... if id sent out the right one i would have
been fine.
Thats it for my report!

IM gonna add some trading card game stuff to my page...
IN all i won 1out of 6 games and most were seasoned players so
i felt pretty good.
