Hello Pojo,
I've been a long time fan of your site and am always impressed with the
info you guys have on your site. Anyway, I've finally got a killer deck
report that I hope meets your approval. This deck has served me well and I
hope that it works just as well for others. It's an electric and psychic mix
with some Dratini and Dragonair in for some wallop against the ever so potent
fire-type Poke'mon and other ones that tend to be a pain in the tail. If
there's a single weakness I see in its design, it's that practically none of
the basic forms of these Poke'mon would stand a chance against a well-built
haymaker. I built this deck with quick evolving Poke'mon to counter that
weakness, but I've had alot of close calls with those quick-strike Poke'mon.
However, this deck is ideal against water decks, but might have a problem
against a platoon of Jigglypuff. The basic idea is to quickly evolve Pika to
Raichu, Eevee to Jolteon and Dratini to Dragonair. If you can get up Kadabra,
that's great; if you get all the way to Alakazam and have a Chansey, then
this deck is working just as I planned. With all that said, on to the report.
I really want that T-Shirt and those holofoils. Thanks, see ya!

Types Of Decks Faced

Round 1: ????
Opponent's Deck: Grass/Colorless
Match Description: The round opens up badly when I have Dratini, Mr.Mime and
Abra as my basic Poke'mon and he gets Snorlax. In a nutshell, he powers up
Body Slam and Mr. Mime quickly falls. In the meantime, I've been powering up
Dratini then low and behold, I draw Dragonair. With a loaded Dragonair, I
quickly cut Snorlax down to size and KO a Jigglypuff. Unfortunately, the
parents of the guy I'm fighting decide to call it a day and I win be default.
I'm not proud of that victory, but I moved on to the next round.

Round 2: Brett
Opponent's Deck: Fire/Psychic/Colorless/Electric
Match Description: This match opens up alot like a Poke'mon battle I saw on
TV. We both get Dratini as our starter and a pounding match begins. I manage
to draw an Abra and start powering that up around the second turn. By the
third round, he retreated Dratini and brought in an Electabuzz. My first
Dratini fell after dealing a couple pound attacks, he drew first blood. All
while this had been happening, I had drawn several other cards; Eevee,
Kadabra, Dratini and Pikachu. By the time my first Dratini went down, Kadabra
was ready. I used Super Psy and KO'ed his Electabuzz and he sent forth his
injured Dratini. He got a Growlithe and started powering it up as I feared
visions of Arcanine. I managed to finish Dratini and attached another psy
energy to Kadabra. Growlithe came up and he managed to Flare a couple times
before he went down, leaving Kadabra with 20 HP. He drew a Mewtwo and set it
out to attack. Fearing what effects 'Psychic' might have on my injured
Kadabra, I used my Switch card and put Dratini it. Mewtwo was helpless as
Dratini pounded on him. During this time, I began powering up my Pikachu as
he revived Electabuzz. Dratini finished off Mewtwo and ended up facing a Mr.
Mime this guy drew somewhere. Mr. Mime lacked any energy and I swapped out
Pikachu to have some fun. I Sparked twice and killed Mr. Mime, inflicting
unwanted damage on Electabuzz. He sent his badly injured Electabuzz up to
bat, where a sole Spark from Pika won the round for me.

Round 3: Taylor
Opponent's Deck: Fighting/ ??
Match Description: This match was a heart ponding battle to remember. I open
up with two Dratini in my hand, a pile of psychic energy and a Kadabra. He
has a pair of Machop and who knew what kind of energy. He Low Kicked my
Dratini dead while I drew a Mr. Mime from my pile. To make a long story
short, three turns later I draw an Abra and drop it on my bench with a single
psychic energy on it. He finished off my second Dratini by then and I put up
Abra. I attached an energy and Psyshocked, luck favored me and I paralyzed
him. Next I attached another psychic energy, evolved Abra to Kadabra and used
Super Psy to down the first Machop. I doubt he had any additional energy,
because when he put the other Machop forward, it had no energy and he
immediately evolved it into Machoke. I have never praised a Kadabra more than
than I had then. Machoke fell to a single Super Psy because of its weakness
and because of that, I won the tournement(And promptly pretended to pass out
for 30 seconds).

Epilouge: Moral of the story here, don't underestimate your Poke'mon. Kadabra
may have won the day, but today I learned to respect even the little Dratini
in all his unevolved glory. In the end(After I passed out for about 30
seconds in shock of near defeat), I walked away with a booster pack that I
got a non-holo Jolteon from and the head of the gym is considering banning my
deck because it never seems to lose(36 Wins, 0 Losses). But, that's a story
for another day. I hope this deck proves beneficial to all of you, as I know
that there are some spots where improvement can be made, but as it stands,
it's a fairly potent weapon in the ever growing world of the mighty Poke'mon.
