Goggleboy Gatenmaru, Human

Ah! Now this unique outlaw I really like. First, his gives a small pump.
Then, whenever an outlaw jumps into play, you can retrieve an item and put it in your hand. Now, I don't play outlaws, but last I checked, outlaws like items. Also, Gatenmaru has some stable colors. I'd say put him, a Tensaiga and Kagome, Outlaw Boss together for a fun time of no death. No real negative with him.

Rating

4/5 Pretty good for a plot device

Well here we are in the second day of Outlaw Week. Today we have Gatenmaru, Human. As most outlaws he has pretty low to average colors, but has good effects which could make him worth playing in Outlaws. There is also another Gantenmaru, but in my opinion this one is far better than that one.

To start off his deck cost is good so no complaints there. His effect of boosting all other Outlaws by 1 is very useful because attack colors in Outlaws are low to begin with. It’s his second effect where this card begins to shine, compared to his rare counterpart. His effect allows you to when you play a character to get an item from your discard pile back into your hand thus allowing you to play it on someone. Some items include the highly broken Valuables which boost the character colors by 2 if attached to an Outlaw. Since this is an Outlaw deck, Valuables will always be +2 boosts and is like a nearly completed, but NON-UNIQUE so all your Outlaws can have it attached. BROKEN! Gantermaru makes it so you don’t have to draw items during your turn but can retrieve it by playing characters allowing you to run less of items in your deck and run more important events and more characters. Other ideas include running medic kit. Medic kit which allows you to place any 3 cards at the bottom of your deck at the cost of discarding Medic Kit. Next turn all you do is play another character and Presto! You have another medic kit ready to use.

Review: 4.5/5.0 <(^o^)>

Great in Outlaw with items

Lack of color variety got him the 4.5
