Ryu Juini Shippo, the Dreamer

Shippo is a pretty good...Shippo. He's got great stats and an awesome effect. His deck cost sucks though, and his stats could be a bit higher for his deck cost. Let's ignore that for now.

Shippo can save AND ready a Good character if he's attacked, other than Shippo. Thus, no Shippo's Shroom abuse. With this power, him and Kagome, Innocent Warrior work really well together. If your opponent is smart and nails Shippo first, Kagome can revive him. Thus, they HAVE to hit Shippo again!

Ofcourse, if you don't like Shippo being a pointless meat shield, you can try Shippo, Brave Warrior. Great stats, good cost, and a great effect that can help you know what's in your shard pile....but that's for another day.

Casual Play: 5/5 - You can REALLY abuse Shippo here.
Tournament Play: 3/5 - Geh, people arn't dumb here. They know how to deal with Shippo.
Art: 3/5 - It's not bad. Really well drawn.

When Shippo is attacked, save and ready one of your defeated Good characters that is not named Shippo.

This Shippo is very fun to use in a deck that runs characters with the Good and Cute traits, such as Inuyasha Group.

The event My Hero allows you to redirect an attack aimed at one of your Good, Cute characters to a different character that has the same color and also has the Good and Cute traits. There are many ways to create advantage from this. If you have a defeated character and the opponent attacks another one of your characters and you are able to use My Hero to redirect it to Shippo, you not only get to save that defeated character, you get to ready him as well. If the attack does not defeat Shippo then a major advantage has just been gained as your opponent will have expended a character while you saved and readied one without losing any others.

The only drawback to Shippo’s effect is that sometimes the opponent will target him first. However, Inuyasha Group decks using Kagome, Innocent Warrior can most likely save him the next turn with her effect if a defensive card did not prevent Shippo from being defeated.

A potentially amazing effect and cards that can force it to trigger make this Shippo extremely fun to use.

Good/Cute Deck: 4.5/5

Good trait Deck: 3/5 - You won’t have the My Hero event to use in that decktype.
