GenCon Information:

GenCon 2003 Runs from July 24-27th. GenCon 2003 is located in the RCA dome at, 100 South Capitol Avenue Indianapolis, Indiana 46225. Pre Registration is no longer available, You can buy an admission badge for the conference From 2pm - 7pm Wednesday July 23, or anytime during the conference. A one day badge is 23$, and a four day badge is 60$ (37/96 GBP) Children 8 and under are free. They must get their badge onsite and must be accompanied by an adult that has already purchased a badge.

each player given 6 boosters (1 Destiny, 1 Expedition, 2 Aquapolis, 2 Skyridge) to build a 40 card deck

each player given 6 boosters (2 Expedition, 2 Aquapolis, 2 Skyridge) to draft and then build a 40 card deck

Final Pokemon League
July 25-26 11am – 8pm; July 27 noon-5pm
$5.00 entry fee for all three days
each player given never before released Pokemon League pin
find another league member and play 1 game
earn 2 points for win, 1 for loss
after reporting each player pulls from the box of cards, winner decides which one to keep, other player keeps the other
highest 3 scores of each day win prizes
highest 3 scores of convention win prizes

Ground Transportation Center Located at the lower level of the Parking Garage, the Ground Transportation Center is your connection to bus service, hotel courtesy vehicles, and limousines to take you to your next destination. Hotel Courtesy Vehicles Check the hotel information boards in baggage claim areas (on the lower level of the Terminal) for hotel shuttle information. Not all hotels offer the service. Board hotel courtesy vehicles at the Courtesy Vehicle Islands just outside the Ground Transportation Center and across from the US Airways baggage claim area.

Transportation Tips
If you intend to fly, consider taking your collection as a carry on, as long as your baggage that holds your cards can fit into a carrier within the legal limits:

Weight: 25 lbs.

Doing so prevents your luggage from being delayed. However if you must send the cards by checked baggage, then consider taking cards for your most potiental/vital decks and just carry them on. Or you could leave the collection home to prevent it from getting lost (or if your collection is outragously big).

Remember Game Boy fans, you can't play your Game Boy for the most part of the flight so I recommend you bring a book or a magazine instead. You can also try watching silly stuff on their programs they have going on those tiny tvs (Hamilton Mattress the Ardwark anyone?).

At gates, remember that you can be search (by random) don't be afraid of the guards checking the collection. They will most likely not bother it. Also with multi-stop flights be sure you are at the next gate with plenty of time. I recommend you study the maps found on websites for major airports to know where your next gate is. Also to keep track of time, wear a watch.

If traveling by road, these items are good ideas. Flat Tire repair kit, First Aid kit, Interstate Inforamation PADD, and Road Altas. Plan course, food, stops ahead of time. Plan alternative routes in case of construction or weather. Check the road department website for each state you'll pass through.

Yahoo Yellow Pages, lists every restaurant on here within .3 miles. I highly doubt that over 100 Restaurants are within .3 miles of the Convention Center, but I have never previously visited Indianapolis. You will need to check on these for yourself.
