Subject: Re: Ness's Rant
To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is in regards to the recent rumors(which I have no doubt will be true) about WotC eliminating the 15+. This is the last straw for me. Wizards has made so many critical mistakes, so many horribly dumb moves and exhibited thier poor management that it is a wonder anyone still plays their games. I can sumarize this entire article into one sentance: Wizards is CRAZY!
I am in the same boat as many of you are. I am 13 years old and devoted to pokemon. I own 3 magic cards, have no idea what to do with them and don't really care (no offense to magic players, I'm sure its a fun game but its not for me). Over the last years, I have spent a great deal of money and time in this game. I brought many friends into it and as the fad faded, they sold thier cards. Of course, they moved on to Magic and other such games and went through the cycle again. Now, I am most certainly not ranked high in the DCI. I play origanal decks mostly at the legue. I took the 2 hour trip to the qualifier and didn't do very well but I still had a great time. By the time of the next STS, I will be 14. This puts me in a horrible place. I can blow my money away, do well in the competition and then throw my cards away or I can keep my money, compete but lose to players with bigger pockets and then trow my cards away. I love the game but if there was any choice I would not buy from Wizards.
I suport Ness completly and I will take this kicking and screaming. There is one solution I can think of to stop Wizard's, for lack of a better phrase, evil plan. All readers and devoted players, please sent as many e-mails as u possibly can to Wizards. It worked with tuna and the dolphins are very thankful. Please protect the game from those dumb executives that only want to add more to their large bed of gold.
Thank you for reading and please respond. I know of stores that do not carry pokemon because they way wizards is run. Wizards may not care about one 13 year old from Ohio worried that he will lose his place to compete but if we can send enough letters from around the country and hopefully the world, we can convince them to stop discriminating against older players.
I'm sorry if this offended anyone (unless it offended some wizards manager, in which case I would be happy). Please send responses or decks to fix to danmanperc@hotmail.com
God Bless the USA
Keep strong
