To POJO:

I agree 110% with you about what you think Wizards is planning on doing
with the 15+ players. I was angry when they dropped off the trips, but
if they drop off letting the 15+ players compete at the STS, that will
be the end of Pokemon for my daughter and myself. She will be 14 in
January. There aren't very many things kids and adults can do together
especially since I have a very bad back.

I got involved with Pokemon because I was bored sitting around for two
hours while my daughter played. I became intrigued and started playing
myself. I looked forward going to league just as much as she did. I
hope this is just nothing but a big fat rumor.

I also collect the cards. There are two full sets of Basic through
Revelation and promos in our house. If it wasn't for me, there would be
a few less thousand dollars inside Wizards' bank account. I have seen
the game of Magic being played. I took one look at the cards, and I
don't think I would enjoy playing it. The artwork is dark, depressing,
and very evil looking. I don't want kids playing a game like that. You
can take Magic and stuff it in my opinion.

Another supposedly just for kids phenomenon has been absorbed into many
adults' hearts and into their wallets. That is Harry Potter. My
daughter kept bugging me to read the books and eventually did. I've
seen many adults with copies of the book in their hands. My daugher and
the neighbors, three children and two adults, went to see the movie
together. I don't play the CCG game (too much money to do both), but I
home the author doesn't stop writing or ban 15+ people from reading
them.

I sure hope that Wizards does not bite off the hand that feeds it.
Without the adult, the game is gone. As the kids get older and over the
age of 14, what is left for them. There will be less and less kids to
pick up the game once the cartoon goes off the air. The older ones will
not be there to show them this great game. How sad.
