Ancient Mew is playable!
On July 26, 2000 Wizards of the Coast stated Ancient Mew
is legal to use while playing the trading card game. We decided to
post this Ancient Mew translation card to help you understand the attacks
on the card. You might want to print this out and keep it handy when
you play. Below is not a real Pokemon Card, it is simply our
translation of the card. The attacks, retreat, HP are from the
Official Wizards of the Coast translation playmat.

Here are Wizards of the Coast's official answers to
Ancient Mew Questions:
Q: Is
Ancient Mew a game playable card?
A:
Yes, as long as it is in an opaque back card sleeve
(Pojo note: Opaque is a cool word.
Give WOTC a quarter for using it in a sentence. Unfortunately many
little kids don't know what it means. Real definition:
"o·paque ( -p k )
adj. - Impenetrable by light; neither transparent nor translucent."
Pojo Definition - Basically ... they are telling you to use colored
deck protector sleeves on all you cards to conceal the back of your card
to keep the game fair)
