Hey, I have made a psychic/electric deck called "High Voltage". I know it's far from perfect, so I thought you could give me a few pointers. Here's the deck: X3 ABRA X2 KADABRA X1 ALAKAZAM X2 GASTLY X2 HAUNTER X1 DROWZEE X1 JYNX X11 PSYCHIC ENERGY X3 PIKACHU X1 RAICHU X2 ZAPDOS X2 ELECTABUZZ X1 VOLTORB X1 ELECTRODE X2 MAGNEMITE X11 ELECTRIC ENERGY X1 CLEFAIRY X2 DOUBLE COLOURLESS ENERGY X3 POTION X1 SUPERPOTION X2 POKEDEX X1 PROFESSOR OAK X1 IMPOSTER PROFESSOR OAK X1 ENERGY RETRIEVAL X1 FULL HEAL X1 SUPER ENERGY REMOVAL The goal of my deck is to put to sleep, paralyze and confuse, then hit the opposing side with strong, pumped up pokemon like Zapdos and Raichu. I have sometimes won matches with just Zapdos and a bunch of potions for when he does damage to himself. :) Any help with my deck would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks, Sarah :) ---------- You were right, your deck needs some tweaking. Here is what I would do to improve this deck. Let's start with each color. The psychic part definately needs a little improvement. The first thing I owuld do is take out the GASTLY FAMILY! This family is horrible in the basic set, and shouldn't be used. In, I think Fossil, there is a card that will help this family, but until then, DON'T USE THEM! Try more Jynx or Drowzee, and maybe another Abra. For electric, I would take out the Voltorb family. Going 1/1 with them just doesn't help. I would also take out the Magnemites. They are o.k., but there are just some better pokemon to use. Try more Electabuzz, and maybe another Raichu. For colorless, I owuld take out Clefairy. If you go up against an experiecned player, Clefairy won't be vary powerful. Yes, you may hear stories of Clefairy vs. Charizard, but a pro won't let that happen. Trust me, I wouldn't. I would take it out with a Dratini or something else. For your trainers, you need to put in multiples, that way you draw them when you need them. To get this deck going fast, add Bills and Oaks. They are amazing and broken cards. I would definately take out the Pokedex(card drawing covers it), Full Heal, Imposter Oak, and the Super Potion. Yes, they have their uses, but there are better cards that need those card slots. You might try energy removal, along with maybe some plus powers. Experiment with different trainers, but always put in multiples, that way you draw them when you need them. Not bad, but it needs work. Try to fit in a little more energy, and with the tips above, your deck should be up and running fast in no time. _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web.
