My mother, after having heard the suggestions you made
on my deck, had me send her deck in.  It is an
interesting deck as it contains no rares, yet she
manages to beat me very often.  She has decided
adamantly against adding a Charizard, but may add a
Venasaur.  Any help you could offer or suggestions you
could make would be greatly appreciated.

  2 Double Colorless

  4 Bulbasaur
  2 Ivysaur
  4 Charmander

Ahhh.  It's not that often that you can make a deck with no rares.  It can 
be done, but it's hard.  I would make one, but I'm addicted to Hitmonchan 
and Wigglytuff right now.
   I definately would add the Venusaur, but I wouldn't add the Charizard.  
He is definately overrated.  At the last tourny I went to, all Charizard got 
to eat was a few Dratini, then he couldn't attack anymore.  He was all out 
of energy.  I would take out the Rattata family.  Maybe some Oaks and Gust, 
but it's not that bad of a deck.  I congratulate your mom for not only 
making a good deck, but actually playing the game.  It's not that often that 
you get a parent to play a CCG.
