----Original Message Follows---- Hey Chipmunk! I want you to do something for me. Could you give me a grade for my newest deck? I mainly just want your opinion. And a rating of course. This deck was made to beat the hell out of any annoying haymaker deck(i hate haymakers, they're boring and people think they're the best.) Also, it's made to beat the hell out of any other deck too. I've played a couple haymakers, and a few non haymakers and i've won every game. The grade scale I would like used on my deck is the school form. A+ being the best, F being the worst. So use that form of grading because it's easy for me to understand immediately. Well, here you go: -14 Psychic Energy -3 Abra -3 Kadabra -4 Jynx -14 Fighting Energy -1 Hitmonchan -2 Sandshrew -3 Diglett -4 Machop -2 Prof. Oak -2 Switch -2 Gust Of Wind -2 Bill -4 Energy Removal The reason for having no Alakazam is simply this. He is a stage 2 pokemon, his stage 1 evolution is better than him, and he is fairly slow. Kadabra is quick, can heal himself, a stage 1 pokemon, and does 50 damage with 2 psychic energy and one any other kind of energy. The G.O.W is to catch off guard pokemon. The switch is to bring out the kadabra quickly and to bring back pokemon who were G.O.Wed. Every single game I've played, I've gotten out a Kadabra within 5 turns at the most. From there on, it is always downhill for my opponent. So just give me a rating and anything at all you have to say about my deck. Hope you like it. Thanks a lot, --Chris -------- Ok Chris, I'll grade your anti-haymaker deck. Because I think that you have a lack of cards, I give this deck a B. Here are the reasons why. First, it's that lack of cards. I know alot of people out there just don't have all the cards that are needed for top decks, but if you put in replacements, at least be smart about it. You did a pretty good job. The card that I would take out the most would be Sandshrew. I know you were looking for that resistance to electric, but Sandshrew just isn't that good. Second, your trainers are ok. To beat a haymaker deck, like you want to, you have to be just as fast. Speed is vital to win. I would at least throw in 2 more Bills. I don't know if you should throw in a couple of Oaks. That just has to be playtested. If you could get some Super Removals, that will also help slow down the haymaker, so that you can get on top. Third, a tad bit too much energy. I understand having the 14 psychic energy, but you don't need that much fighting energy. You might consider taking some out. Not too much, but some. Constant playtesting will help you find out how much to get rid of. For all of this, your deck gets a B. I played this deck online, and it did ok. It beat alot of people, but most were inexperienced. It had a hard time against pros, but it did beat a few. I just need to tell you a few things. One, this deck is like a haymker deck. It looks like your making a haymaker to beat a haymaker. Ironic, isn't it? The second thing is that I tried it against my deck. Someone played yours, and I played mine. It did ok, but watch out for colorless cards, like Farfetch'd and Dratini/Dragonair. I had both in the deck, so that kinda stopped you. Not bad, though. _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. Visit http://www.msn.com
