----Original Message Follows---- Dear Chipmunk, I have here two decks for you to try and evaluate for me. Also could tell me what type of decks these two are. (I.E. haymaker deck, stalldeck.....) Deck 1: Mind Warp Pokemon type: Fire/Grass/Colorless Contents: 11- Grass Energy 2--- Arcanine 11- Fire Energy 2--- Charmander 2--- Double Colorless Energy 2--- Magmar 1--- Kangaskhan 1--- Professor Oak 2--- Eevee 3--- Energy Retrieval 3--- Jigglypuff 2--- Gust of Wind 3--- Koffing 4--- Energy Removal 3--- Tangela 4--- Bill 2--- Growlithe 2--- Switch The key to this deck is to attack first with the Grass and Colorless Pokemon using their side effects (poison, sleep, etc.) while pumping up your Fire Pokemon in the bench. If you play it right you should have picked up three prizes(minimum) with your Grass/Colorless Pokemon and your Fire Pokemon should be fully pumped (Arcanine/Magmar) and ready to clean up the rest of the prizes. I know there isn't a lot of Energy cards. So it is imperative that you do not fill your bench with multiple Pokemon(I.E. 3 Tangela or 3 Koffings). The bench should have one Pokemon each and a Mandatory one Fire Pokemon in the bench to be Pumped up. Play Energy with wisdom. You'll Win. _______________________________ Ok, time to start with this deck. You need more energy if you play with fire. Fire just sucks it all up. This deck is a status effect, speed deck. You need to fill up you bench also, so that your pokemon are ready to fight when one dies or retreats. Not a bad idea, but the families need to be built better. That, and you need to focus a little more, but not a bad idea for a new deck. _______________________________ Deck 2: The Bug Deck Pokemon Type: Grass\Fighting Contents: 11- Grass Energy 3---Weedle 10- Fighting Energy 2---Kakuna 2--- Double Colorless Energy 2---Beedrill 3--- Onix 2---Energy Retrieval 3--- Rhyhorn 4---Bill 1--- Mankey 4---Energy Removal 3--- Caterpie 4---Poke Ball 2--- Metapod 2--- Switch 2--- Butterfree The Key to this deck is to hold the fort with Onix and Rhyhorn while you attempt to use the Poke Ball and Bill cards to retrieve Butterfree and Beedrill quickly. Again Energy Mangement is required for you do not need to fill the bench with multiples. Mankey Provides the chance to anticipate the opponent with Poke Power "Peek". _______________________ This is a half stall half status effct deck, I think. You basically stall until you get the pokemon you want on your bench, but the pokemon you want aren't big hitters like it should be. Try Machamp or Venusaur. 60 damage is alot. Another thing is your energy, again. Energy removal will tear both of these decks up. Not bad for the ideas. ______________________ Please Evaluate these decks.Include their strengths, weaknesses, and Characteristic. I Thank You for your time and effort. Good day.
