----Original Message Follows---- Ok, you may look at the title and think... Charizard sucks, what is this guy thinking. (Hopefully, you'll get past the title before trashing this...) Anyways, I think Charizard doesn't suck as much as most people think. But I still don't use him! Here's the deck: Energy (24) 4 Double Colorless 8 Fighting 12 Fire Pokemon (16) 3 Charmander 2 Charmeleon 3 Ponyta 2 Rapidash 3 Scyther 3 Hitmonchan Trainers (20) 1 Scoop Up 2 Item Finder 2 Professor Oak 3 Gust of Wind 4 Plus Power 4 Energy Removal 4 Bill This deck is incredible with a decent starting hand. Start Scyther if possible. He opens up everything from your bench. Don't start Ponyta. He dies quickly unless you go first. Between Hitmonchan and Charmander, I usually will start Char for the lower retreat cost, and nothing has resistance to it. Onto the strategy. Charmeleon and Hitmonchan are the power-hitters. Try to build one up ASAP so you can start laying the boom down on anything they put out. Rapidash's free retreat and awesome attack (Agility) are very valuable in the early/middle part of the game. Scythers are toasted by this fiery horse. Scythers in the deck are there for their resistance, free retreat, colorless attack and high HP. The trainers are pretty much self-explanatory. Bill and Oak for drawing power. This deck takes a little longer than Haymaker, so only 2 Oaks are used. Energy Removal to give you more time to build. PlusPower and GOW for that kill shot. Scoop Up is very useful, but only 1 is in because of the evolutions. Item Finder to get just the trainer when you need it. This deck will be reconstructed totally when Fossil comes out, but that will be saved for another time. _________________________________________________________ Nice deck. Main thing that I would change is that I would take out the Char family and put in Growlithe and Arcanine. They work much better and dish more damage. Just look past the discarding energy and the damage to itself and you'll see the great pokemon in Arcanine. Trust me, he's better if you don't play Charizard(and who would play Charizard?). I would take out a +power, Bill, and a removal for 3 Comp. Searches, so that your deck can go off faster. This deck is great though, and after those changes, it's going to be even better.
