----Original Message Follows---- I'll just start off by saying that I'm very new to Pokemon, and that I sincerely hope that my deck does not end up on thrashfest. Obviously, haymakers (or imitation haymakers) are being constructed in droves right now; I think that the one I'm currently working on has the potential to be the strongest. This is not to say that practically everybody else's isn't similar; it's just that after a particularly long testing session, this card mix proved to be the best for me. Many ideas in here are obviously from other player's decks, you know who you are, thanks for the ideas. Trainers (23) 4 Energy Removal 4 Super Energy Removal 2 Item Finder 2 Energy Retrieval 3 Gust of Wind 3 Proffesor Oak 3 Plus Power 2 Bill Pokemon (15) 4 Hitmonchan 4 Electrabuzz 3 Scyther 3 Farfetch'd (Now I don't see this in many haymakers, but i think that with the double colorless in the deck he's really strong, as pot smash does 30 anyway on the second turn with a double colorless if he's not knocked out; resistance to fighting isn't too bad right now either) 1 Jigglypuff (I can't remember where I got this idea from, it was somebody's tourney report, obviously it's for mr mime, whoever came up with the idea thank you!) Energy (22) 4 Double Colorless 10 Fighting 8 Electric Thanks a lot for putting up with my rambling, and for helping a novice player try to improve his lowly deck. Chris Watson _______________________________________________________________ Not bad for haymaker. In fact, it is pretty good. What I like the most is the us of Scyther AND Farfetch'd. Now, people *itch back and forth on who is better and who is worse, and it's really up to the trainer himself. Scyther hasmore HP and a free retreat, but Farfetch'd has that 1st attack on the flip. Using both is an interesting idea. This deck is more like REMOVAL.COM. Not only do you play 4 of each removal, but you have Item Finder and Comp. Search. to get them and use them OVER AND OVER! Ouch. This deck is already tourny worthy, and needs little tweaking. The onlything that comes to mind is maybe 1 more energy. 23 is a great number for Haymaker when it comes to energy. And you need the energy to feed the Supers.
