The Arcanine Deck? Was that the one with Alakazam?
Sorry, I seem to have misplaced your original e-mail.
I'm sure it was good--any deck with Arcanine almost
has to be! :-) Anyway, that's in the past. On to the
deck at hand!

There's not a whole lot I can say about your Pokemon.
As you said, it's a haymaker with Muk. At first, I was
surprised that so many people were replacing
Hitmonchan with Magmar--I had thought that Electabuzz
would make the more likely candidate. Then I
remembered Blastoise. Doh! Blastoise is probably
Haymaker's biggest challenge right now--and don't
think that Muk is going to change that too much;
unless you go first and get your own Muk second or
third turn, your opponent is probably still going to
get a loaded Blastoise. We could try to get Muk as
soon as possible, but it seems better just to rely on
Buzz and get Muk as we need him, then Energy Removal
that sucker when Rain Dance has been shut down. He
still hoses Damage Swap and other Power-based decks
that take longer to go off. Where was I? Oh yes, your
Pokemon. I'm not changing anything, and that's a
testament to your skillz.

Likewise, your trainers seem solid for the most part.
Now, I'm not sure exactly what level you're playing at
(decking becomes more of a problem at high levels) but
I don't think you need as many Gamblers as you say.
With only one Oak, you're not likely to deck yourself
very fast. I'd put in at least another Oak; we can
leave a Gambler in if it'll make you feel better.
Alternatively, Lass or Mr. Fuji can save you from
decking, and they don't use a coin flip. You need some
Computer Searches; I would probably take out a Gust of
Wind and an Energy Removal. You can take out some
energy instead if you want.

Your energy looks good. Haymakers are easy to
calculate energy for--not so easy as mono decks, but
easier than multi-color evolution decks. Now here's my
recommendations for you:

***

4 Magmar
4 Electabuzz
3 Scyther
3 Grimer
2 Muk

4 Bill
4 GOW
4 Energy Removal
3 SER
1 Gambler
2 Oak
2 Computer Search

12 Fire Energy
11 Electric Energy
3 DCE

I just realized that you never specifically said which
set your Magmars were from. I'm assuming that they're
from Fossil, but if I'm somehow wrong, change them :-)
This should be a pretty nice deck. One other idea
would be to add grass energy (both for Scyther, and so
Muk can defend itself) but you should be fine without
it.
