Hey, Gymbo, I've been playtesting this new deck in the New MMF format. It's been doing pretty well, so I was hoping you could help with it.

WaterWorld V.1

Pokemon 18:
Squirtle 4
Dark Wartortle 4
Dark Blastoise 4
Cleffa 3
Tyrogue 3

Trainers 26:
Elm 4
Bill 4
Double Gust 3
Focus Band 3
Gold Berry 3
Healing Fields 2
Time Capsule 2
Pokemon Breeder 3
Pokemon Trader 2

Energy 16:
Metal 4
Water 8
Recycle 2
Rainbow 2

The goal is to get Dark Blastoise up and running ASAP. Focus Bands let Tyrogue do some hitting and Cleffa gets nice draw power for a few turns. Typically, 7 energy on turn 8 isn't that hard to get on a Blastoise with this.

Thanks,

Hmm...Dark Blasty. You sure you didn't mean to send this one to Tash? Hmm...you sure? Well, ok then. I shall do my best with everyone's (at least Satoshi's) favorite Water Pokemon. :P

First we have the Pokemon: I dunno about you, but I think a 4/4/4 line is a tad excessive. Very few decks can successfully pull this off. Typhlosion for example, needed to Fire Recharge. In Blasty's case you are just being redundant and you could get some other more useful things in there. So cut a Dark Wartortle and a Dark Blastoise. Speaking of Blastoise, let's try the new Blastoise from Card E. It's Pokemon Power allows you discard one of your Energy cards attached to Blastoise in order to discard one of the opponent's Energy cards. Hmm...nice anti-Steelix...dontcha think? It's attack is decent too, but it's mainly Steelix tecH. Next, get some Murkrow in there. Blastoise can attack with Darkness, as can Murkrow, and Murkrow is a nice counter to Espeon. Your Tyrogue usage is a little excessive. Cut two, and you have your room for the Murkrow. Finally, you need some anti-Slowking. Since Muk really won't fit here, go for Igglybuff, two in fact.

Pokemon: 19
4 Squirtle (LC)
3 Dark Wartortle
3 Dark Blastoise
3 Cleffa
2 Murkrow
2 Igglybuff
1 Blastoise (Card E)
1 Tyrogue

Next comes the Energy: Hmm...you've got a very solid Energy count here, I can see Satoshi/Random's influences with the Metal Energy in there. Cut the Rainbow, they serve no immediate purpose. Add two Water. Change the Metal energy to Darkness for Murkrow and added damage with Blasty. The Recycles can stay in there to use with Card E Blastoise's Pokemon Power. So...

Energy: 16
10 Water
4 Darkness
2 Recycle

Finally, we have the Trainers: Very nice. I am just going to make some tweaks and some changes with the counts and such. First and foremost we only need two Pokemon Breeder because we did cut the Dark Wartortle count in half. Three Breeder is just too much in my opinion. I like both Wartortle and Pokemon Breeder with Dark Blastoise, it just adds for more versatility. The Elm count is good, however, I don't like the four Bill. Cut one, three is plenty, especially with the added drawing/speed I am getting in this deck. Get in three of the new Oak's Research, this card is a "Supporter" which allows you to shuffle your hand into your deck and draw 5 cards. Also add another Pokemon Trader. Drop the Focus Bands and add another Double Gust. Drop a Time Capsule, and change the Healing Fields to Rocket's Hideout. That's pretty much it.

Trainers: 25
4 Professor Elm
4 Double Gust
3 Pokemon Trader
3 Oak's Research
3 Bill
3 Gold Berry
2 Pokemon Breeder
2 Rocket's Hideout
1 Time Capsule

Here's the final deck:
