I just made an Erika deck for the east coast sts. Please help make any changes to it that would make it better.
Pokemon 18
3 E. Oddish (gym challenge)
3 E. Gloom (70HP)
3 E. Vileplume
3 E. Dratini
3 E. Dragonair
3 Scythers
Trainers 15
3 Professor Oak
3 Erika Maids
3 Computer Search
3 Celadon City Gym
3 Gust of Wind
Energy 27
24 Grass
3 DCE
I've played this deck some and its done ok winning about half the games I played, although its hard to test it when no one else wants to play with the 15t/3c format :( Thanks for fixing my deck (or at least reading down to here)

Well well. What have we here? Looks like a deck built around Prop 15-3, the bane of good players everywhere. I nearly had a stroke when I heard that Wizards was instituting such an insane rule, let alone messing it up further with the "3" bit. The last time I've had my life drained that fast was when I played a game against ProspBloom. Sometime I'll have to publish a detailed discussion of the alternatives to Prop15. They're quite entertaining-at least one of them requires a 2x4 or comparable blunt object..

Hold on, this isn't a rant. this is a deck fix.

*slaps himself*

There  we go.

1) Okay, normally I cringe at the thought of playing heavy evolutions in a 15-3 format. But the evolutions you have chosen give you a certain extremely good card. ERIKA'S MAIDS. Yes, this thing can be a BOMB. in an environment where both players will be trying to stay afloat until they can draw a useful card, having three more GOOD search cards is just sick. No question, you're on the right track. What I'd do is drop Vileplume and Dragonair each to 2 and use the space for two Rocket's Scythers. an excellent card. This will be a better use of space overall. Actually, why not make it 3 R's Scyther and create space by dropping an energy later on.

2) Trainers. well there isn't all that much we can do here. =P  But you really do want Item Finders, as they essentially allow you to have more copies of your other trainers. Drop 1 each Gym and GOW for these. This is a better choice for the environment, IMO.

3) Only one little quibble here. Take out some grass energy (3 will probably be about the right amount) and insert Full Heal Energy. A good number of the decks at STS will probably focus on status effects, and these can also help ward off the negative effects of Gloom's attacks.

Here's a brief summary of my changes:

-1 Erika's Vileplume
-1 Erika's Dragonair
-1 Celadon Gym
-1 Gust of Wind
-4 Grass energy

+3 Rocket's Scyther
+2 Item Finder
+3 Full Heal Energy

That should add up. Good luck at STS, and look me up there if you want to.
