Rapid Fire

I made this deck to focus on Base set and promo Arcanine, and Base set Electabuzz. I feel this deck is pretty solid but I thought I should get an experts help. The strategy is near the bottom.
8 electric energy
17 fire energy

2 oaks
4 bills
2 mr fuji
3 gust of wind
2 switch
4 super potion

3 fossil magmar
1 basic magmar
1 basic arcanine
1 promo arcanine
2 growlithe
3 electabuzz
2 dark jolteon
1 dark flareon
3 team rocket eevee
1 jungle scyther
My deck's basic strategy is a quick onslaught with my Electabuzzes, Magmars, and Scyther while I prepare my two Arcanines for the kill. I would use the oaks and bills to get the cards I need fast. The fujis are to retreat the Arcanines when they have a lot of damage on them along with the super potions. Switch is to get my Arcanines out of active quick without losing energy and gust of wind is to pull out the weak pokemon. Well, here is my deck. I have tested this deck at a pokemon get together at Books-a-Million and I won 2 out of 2 games. I have also tested it against the Lt. Surge, Brock, and both Team Rocket decks and it did extremely well. I hope you can help me a little. I only have 2 growlithe and 1 of each arcanine and 1 scyther so that's why there is so few of them. Please help me. Thanks. David 北北北北北北北北北北北北北北北

Overview

Today's fix is crossed with good ol' Spike. Check out his fix at Spike's Shed.

I've always liked Arcanine. Your deck looks nice although it's best not to have singles in evolution lines if possible. You could use a little tweaking, but overall you seem to have the basics down.

Pok閙on

Like I said, I don't like to use singles, especially in evolution lines. But since you have limited card stock, I'll try to work with it.

Your main evolution line is Arcanine, so usually you'd go with four Growlithe and one or two of each Arcanine if you're using both, but since you have limited card stock, you can go with what you have for the time being. I highly suggest trading for a couple more Growlithe and Arcanine, though, and as only uncommons, they shouldn't be too tough to get.

Your other line is the Dark Eevolutions. Since you're running a 2/2 Arcanine line they can stay, but when you get more you might consider taking out the Eevee lines in place of more Growlithe/Arcanine.

Your big bad basics look okay... Once again, the more Scyther the merrier, but go with what you have. My only other thought is to take out the Base Set Magmar for a fourth Electabuzz if possible; if not, go with a fourth Fossil Magmar. So your Pokemon should look kinda like this now:

3 Fossil Magmar
1 Arcanine
1 Promo Arcanine
2 Growlithe
4 Electabuzz
2 Dark Jolteon
1 Dark Flareon
3 Eevee
1 Scyther
Ideally (meaning, once you can trade for what you're missing), it should look kind of like this: (I don't know what you'll be able to get, if anything, and what you won't, so just get as close as you can with what you have, or somewhere in between the two)

3 Fossil Magmar
2 Arcanine
2 Promo Arcanine
4 Growlithe
4 Electabuzz
3 Scyther

Trainers

One problem I see in your strategy is that Mr. Fuji doesn't retreat- it doesn't work on Pokemon in the active position. Even though you're running evolutions, I think Scoop Up would work better. You could use a tad more drawing power, too. Another thing I notice is that Defender would work wonders here- Arcanine, Buzz, and Jolteon have the potential to hurt themselves, but Defender solves that as well as blocking a little damage from your opponent. Let's go with this:

4 Bill
3 Oak
3 Com. Search
4 Defender
3 Gust Of Wind
3 Scoop Up

Energy

You've got more than you need. Go with 11 Fire, 8 Lightning, and 3 Double Colorless. Here's the finished deck:
Pok閙on (18)
3 Fossil Magmar
1 Arcanine 2 Arcanine
1 Promo Arcanine 2 Promo Arcanine
2 Growlithe or	4 Growlithe
4 Electabuzz 4 Electabuzz
2 Dark Jolteon 3 Scyther
1 Dark Flareon 3 Fossil Magmar
3 Eevee
1 Scyther

Trainers (20)
4 Bill
3 Oak
3 Com. Search
4 Defender
3 Gust Of Wind
3 Scoop Up

Energy (22)
3 DCE
8 Lightning
11 Fire
I don't know how limited your card stock is or what you'll be able to trade for, so just work with this however you can. I hope that helps you, and good luck!
