The Tickler
The Tickler

Hi Ness. Here's my deck, it's a staller. I've won 10 in a row, but now lost 6 in a row. What's wrong?

4 Abra(R)
3 Kadabra
2 Alakazam
2 Mr. Mime
3 Chansey
1 Lickitung
-------------------
3 Computer Search
4 Item Finder
1 Switch
1 Maintennance
3 Pokémon Center
1 Scoop Up
2 Mr. Fugi
3 Gust of Wind
2 Gambler
-------------------
19 Psychic
4 Double Colorless

Let me explain. The strategy is an early Computer Search, find what trainer I need and use Item Finder to get it back again and again and there's good ol' damage swap to keep Mr. Mime, Lickitung, and Kadabra in there with benched Alakazam and Chansey.

---Deck Fix---

There's a few things wrong. First of all, just because you're playing stall doesn't mean you can't be fast and go at your opponent. I'm not speaking attacking wise though, but decking them. You can't deck your opponent just with Damage Swap and your Gamblers all the time. You need to focus less on Alakazam, as many decks can take it out, just giving up a prize. Focus more on the decking combo of Tickling Machine and Imposter Professor Oak. Drawing cards is good for you, and even better when your opponent does, so your card drawing sources should focus on Erika and Computer Error, and Blaine's Quiz #2 can get you 2 cards, or better, 2 off your opponent's deck. here's how we'll change it.

Energy-wise, we don't need it! Go down to 3 Psychic, 4 Double Colorless. It's used to retreat, otherwise, don't bother.. [there are rare exceptions including the Chansey double-edging turn two for the win] This frees 16 Slots already!

When we look at your Pokémon, we see you are very dependent on Alakazam. Don't be! Slim down to 3 Abra, take out the Kadabras(because we'll end up using Breeders for speed). Add the 4th Chansey, they're an essential staller. I think a couple
Erika's Dratinis would really slow Sponges and Hays down. Add 2. Scythers are a great one-two hit taker, put in 2. 15 slots left.

With your trainers, you don't need the Gusts of Wind, you won't be attacking much, and anything with a high retreat you Gust won't do much, they'll have the Scoop or Switch. Drop 2. I don't think the Maintennance or 2nd Mr. Fugi will do much, take those out. 19 slots. Add 2
Scoop Ups, they're great! Remove those damage counters constantly! 4 Imposter Professor Oaks and 4 Tickling Machines will be great, it's a nice combo to get 7 cards off your opponent's deck. 2 Erika will help get you what you need, and ending your first, second turn with a Computer Error is nice, and it gives you the cards you need to get your Alakazam out(although it's not always worth keeping it in play long to give up knockouts to Mewtwo, Chansey etc.). Add 3 Computer Error. You need 2 Breeders for Alakazam, also. Try four Blaine's Quiz #2, it either gets you two cards or 1/3 of the time, it should get two off your opponent's deck. (4, since you sent in a 58 card deck!)

The Tickler
3 Abra(R)
2 Alakazam
2 Mr. Mime
4 Chansey
2 Erika's Dratini
2 Scyther
1 Lickitung
[More variety of Pokémon appears to deal with more decks. The deck becomes less dependent on Alakazam, yet the seldom Muk is still hard to stop.] (16)
----------------------
3 Computer Search
4 Item Finder
1 Switch
3 Pokémon Center
3 Scoop Up
1 Mr. Fugi
1 Gust of Wind
2 Gambler
4 Blaine's Quiz #2
3 Computer Error
2 Erika
4 Tickling Machine
4 Imposter Professor Oak
2 Pokémon Breeder
[Many more trainers appear, and the deck not only focuses on adding cards to it's deck, but by lowering the opponent's deck, an important part of stall. Drawing assists the opponent, but this assist actually hurts.] (37)
----------------------
3 Psychic
4 Double Colorless
[Energy goes way down! It's not that necessary!] (7)
