Swords Dance

I need help with my new deck. It's called "Swords Dance" The strategy is after the deck list.

4x Scyther
4x Movie Mewtwo
3x Mr. Mime

3x Pro. Oak
2x Computer Search
2x Energy Retrieval
4x Energy Removal
3x Gust of Wind
3x PlusPower
2x Lass
2x Item Finder
3x Scoop Up

Energy-21

12x Psychic Energy
5x Grass Energy
4x DCE

Now the goal of this deck is to Swords Dance on the first turn then do 60 damage on turn 2. Bills, Oaks, and Computer Searches make this happen. After you are done Oaking you should have at least 2 Psychic Energy in your Discard Pile so you can absorb with Mewtwo after you use Scyther. The other goal of this deck is to Lass on turn two. You can Computer Search for it if you didn't use it in getting Scyther pumped or Item Finder for it if you Oaked it away. When your opponent tries to bring out your big guns on your Mewtwos and Scythers you just Scoop them Up with Scoop Up and bring out Mr. Mime to stop them. The Gust of Winds are for geting the weak Pokemon out and destroy them or you can bring out the Monsters on your opponents bench and K.O. them with Mr. Mime. Well that's all. Man, I'm going to be honest, I had a lot of trouble finding something to change in this deck! Actually, truth be known, it's similar to a deck I play. Anyway, let's get on to the rare fixes I had to make!


Pokemon. The only problem I can find here is that you have 4 Mewtwos and 3 Mr. Mime, both of which are pretty bad starting pokemon. So, remove one of each, and add 2 colorless in their place. I recommend Chansey, because of his double-edge finish and stalling abilities, or Ditto, who can copy the defending pokemon but allow you to gain the upper hand with your DCE (actually, Ditto's a better starter, because he'll always be equal to their starting pokemon, while Chansey might be weak).


Trainers. This section was even tougher than the last! The only thing I don't like is that you don't have any Super Energy Removals, but I can't honestly think of something that you could take out for those. You might, if you wanted, take out a Bill and a Scoop Up in favor of 2 Super Energy Removals, but I have no problem with the trainers as they are now.


Energy. Can this get any harder? Although I feel badly about it, I'm going to have to say that I can't change a thing in this department (dang, I love correcting people ;-) ).
