Okay, our deck today comes to us from a trainer that can't seem to get a winning deck going. Let's see what we can do to help him to win a bit more. ;) >>>> Hi Satoshi, I've made a bunch of decks but I can't seem to get a good enough deck that I can win enough with, and I didn't know how to send one of my deck lists for help to you or one of these deck mechanics until recently. I also do not know how or what this deck needs to be fixed. Here is my deck: Fire/Water Deck (I know you said to not have mainly 1 of each card, but for most of these I have only 1) (There are a lot of good cards that I don't have, ex: Suicune, Cleffa, Rocket's Zapdos, Nightly Garbage Run, Gold Berry, Darkness Energy, etc., so I have these cards to try to substitute them) 15 Water Pokemon 1 Squirtle (Base Set) 2 Squirtle (Team Rocket) 2 Dark Wartortle 1 Dark Blastoise 1 Horsea (Fossil) 1 Horsea (Neo Genesis) 1 Seadra (Fossil) 1 Seadra (Neo Genesis) 1 Kingdra (Neo Genesis) 1 Articuno (2nd Movie Promo) 2 Wooper (Neo Discovery) 1 Quagsire (Neo Revelations) 15 Fire Pokemon 2 Charmander (Base Set) 1 Charmander (Team Rocket) 1 Dark Charmeleon 1 Dark Charizard 1 Rocket's Moltres (Gym Heroes) 2 Cyndaquil [Fireworks, Quick Attack] 2 Cyndaquil [Leer, Swift] 2 Quilava [Smokescreen, Char] 1 Typhlosion [Fire Recharge, Flame Burst] 1 Magby 1 Entei (Neo Revelations, Non Holographic) 15 Trainers 2 Berry 1 Bill 1 Bill's Teleporter 1 Blaine's Quiz #1 1 Chaos Gym 2 Moo-Moo Milk 1 Pokemon Breeder Fields 1 Potion 2 Professor Elm 1 Professor Oak 1 Rocket's Hideout 1 Rocket's Sneak Attack 15 Energys 1 Rainbow Energy 8 Fire Energy 6 Water Energy Please help me. -FlameGreymon >>>> Well, it's evenly divided. =/ Let's start by taking a look at the Water portion of your Pokémon selection: 15 Water Pokemon 1 Squirtle (Base Set) 2 Squirtle (Team Rocket) 2 Dark Wartortle 1 Dark Blastoise 1 Horsea (Fossil) 1 Horsea (Neo Genesis) 1 Seadra (Fossil) 1 Seadra (Neo Genesis) 1 Kingdra (Neo Genesis) 1 Articuno (2nd Movie Promo) 2 Wooper (Neo Discovery) 1 Quagsire (Neo Revelations) Hmm...interesting. We've got a LOT of singles to deal with, and I have a feeling a few of the evolution lines need to go. Start off by clearing away some of the riff-raff. Articuno, the base Squirtle, the Dark Wartortle, Quagsire and the ENTIRE Kingdra line. This leaves us with 10 spaces to play with. Drop in 3 more Team Rocket Squirtle, 3 Cleffa, a third Wooper and 3 Dark Blastosie. So much for those spaces, huh? ;\ But now our Water Pokémon Look like this: 4 Squirtle 4 Dark Blastoise 3 Cleffa 3 Wooper Next, we move onto the Fire Pokémon: 15 Fire Pokemon 2 Charmander (Base Set) 1 Charmander (Team Rocket) 1 Dark Charmeleon 1 Dark Charizard 1 Rocket's Moltres (Gym Heroes) 2 Cyndaquil [Fireworks, Quick Attack] 2 Cyndaquil [Leer, Swift] 2 Quilava [Smokescreen, Char] 1 Typhlosion [Fire Recharge, Flame Burst] 1 Magby 1 Entei (Neo Revelations, Non Holographic) Well, we're going to cut down a LOT here... Since we're already using Dark Blastoise, I say we go with Dark Charizard here. That said, we'll be ditching the Rocket's Moltres, Typhlosion lines, Entei and Magby, and we'll make the tr Charmander a copy of its base set twin. We've got 10 spaces to work with here as well, so let's add in another 2 more Dark Charmeleon and 2 more Dark Charizard, leaving the other spaces for the trainers: 3 Charmander 3 Dark Charmeleon 3 Dark Charizard Finally, we're onto the trainers: 15 Trainers 2 Berry 1 Bill 1 Bill's Teleporter 1 Blaine's Quiz #1 1 Chaos Gym 2 Moo-Moo Milk 1 Pokemon Breeder Fields 1 Potion 2 Professor Elm 1 Professor Oak 1 Rocket's Hideout 1 Rocket's Sneak Attack We've got 6 leftover spaces, so let's being with those. Add in the usual search engine: 3 Computer Search, and 3 Itemfinder. Next, ditch the Berry and Bill for three Professor Oak. Knock out the Bill's Teleporter and Blaine's Quiz #1 for two more Rocket's Hideout. Chaos Gym and Moo-Moo Milk can go for three Gold Berry. Next, we'll ditch the last Elm for a Trash Exchange. We'll finally ditch the Potion, Pokemon Breeder Fields, one Elm and the Pokemon Breeder Fields for four Pokemon Breeder. Hope you caught all that. ;) 15 Energys 1 Rainbow Energy 8 Fire Energy 6 Water Energy Not much to do here...make it 8 Fire and 7 Water energy...we're done! Whew...there ya go...that was quite a workout. :) Good luck and happy gaming!
