Subject: Rain Rain Go Away Woohoo! Another school year over and one with. Now I've got 2 1/2 months to just kick back and relax...and what a way to start that than with a Deck Fix! =D This week, an old favorite of mine...Raindance. >=) >>>> Hi, I'm kind of a newb at Pokemon TCG, but lately I have been playing it on Apprentice, and this is the first deck that I have built. I know it needs a lot of help, but, I think you are just the person for that! The strategy is just try to get Blastoise out as fast as I can, using babies to hopefully stall while I raindance water energies to my pokes. I think it needs a little more attack power, but I don't know what. My trainer cards are also lacking somewhat. Well, here's the deck: Pokemon [20] 3x Pichu 1x Pichu LV12 2x Cleffa LV5 2x Cleffa 2x Suicune LV33 2x Articuno LV34 4x Squirtle LV15 3x Wartortle LV20 2x Blastoise Trainers [20] 3x Gold Berry 3x Nightly Garbage Run 2x Gust of Wind 4x Item Finder 4x Computer Search 4x Professor Oak Energy [20] 20x Water Energy I know 20-20-20 isn't the best spread, but, I don't know what is ideal nowadays. As I said, I play on apprentice, so, I don't have any card restrictions. Maybe I should take out Suicune and Articuno for others? >>>> Hmm...well, one thing is good: no card retrictions! =D Let's get to work. Pokemon [20] 3x Pichu 1x Pichu LV12 2x Cleffa LV5 2x Cleffa 2x Suicune LV33 2x Articuno LV34 4x Squirtle LV15 3x Wartortle LV20 2x Blastoise Hmmm...okay. First of all, Articuno is dead, and has been as such to Raindance since Neo Genesis. Why? Wooper. ;D Cheaper attacks and an electric resistance make up for the less HP. Kill the two Articuno for two NG Wooper. Next, Suicune. Suicune was great for a while, but his luster has kind of worn out - an another Electric-weak Water Energy hog is the LAST thing any Raindance needs. Let's knock them out in favor of two more Blastoise. Cleffas are fine, but make sure they're all from the Neo: Genesis expansion. And the Pichu...well, I kind of like the idea of having _one_ Pichu in here, but FOUR is just crazy. Leave one Neo Genesis Pichu in the deck and let's discard the rest. Finally, remove all but one of the Wartortles. -2 Suicune -2 Articuno -3 Pichu -2 Wartortle +2 Wooper +2 Blastoise And now, onto the Trainers. Trainers [20] 3x Gold Berry 3x Nightly Garbage Run 2x Gust of Wind 4x Item Finder 4x Computer Search 4x Professor Oak Alright, we've got some space from before, so let's start by adding in 3 Pokémon Breeder and 2 Lass. Next, lose a Nightly Garbage Run for 1 lone Ecogym, then drop five Water Energy for another Ecogym, 2 Misty's Wrath and a Switch. This should help beef up your disruption and searching engines, while adding in the defensive/offensive properties of EcoGym/Switch. -5 Water Energy -1 Nightly Garbage Run +2 Ecogym +2 Lass +3 Pokémon Breeder +2 Misty's Wrath +1 Switch Finally, the Energy: Energy [15] 15x Water Energy Well, let's drop two Water Energy for two Double Colorless Energy for Wooper. We're done!: -2 Water Energy +2 Double Colorless Energy Well, there it is...this should help to make your deck work a lot smoother. Good luck and happy gaming! =D
