Subject: Espeon's Zap Hey guys. Here's another interesting deck that I'm going to fix today. =) ========== This deck basically uses the quick guys (Eletabuzz, R. Zapdos, Mewtwo, Mr. Mime) until I can get Espeon or Shining Noctowl powered up. This is not a modified deck. Pokemon 3 Eevee (# 11 promo) 1 Shining Noctowl 3 Rocket's Zapdos 2 Electabuzz 1 Espeon (non-holo) 2 Espeon (holo) 3 Mr. Mime 3 Mewtwo (movie promo) 1 Wobbuffet (dont ask me why) Trainers 2 Gust of Wind 2 Item Finder 2 Professor Oak 2 Computer Search 3 Gold Berry 1 Professor Elm 1 Resistance Gym 1 Pokemon Trader 3 Super Energy Removal Energy 13 Psychic 10 Lightning 1 Recycle ========== An Espeon/Zapdos concept is very profound. Seems like a fun deck as well. Let's get to work. ;) Well, despite the cool artwork on Shining Noctowl's card, he has to go. He isn't helping much with getting the Pokémon out and attacking. Then, drop the Mr. Mimes. The old-fashioned mimes seem to be a bit on retirement. Now...Wobbuffet? I won't even ask, but I WILL take it out. ;x Then, drop a MP Mewtwo. Then, make the Non-Holo Espeon the Holo version since they are the theme of the deck. Since you have some Neo cards, try and get the Neo Cleffas. They help all decks in all formats. Pokémon: 15 3 Eevee (Promo #11) 3 Espeon (Holo) 3 Rocket's Zapdos 2 Electabuzz 2 Mewtwo (Promo #14) 2 Cleffa (Neo: Genesis) The Energy...needs to be remodeled. Since Mewtwo can reuse the Psychic Energy, we only need to play 9 Psychic. Then, the same goes for Rocket's Zapdos, so play 7 Lightning. Make that Recycle Energy a Metal Energy and add in one more. The Metal Energy is for either when you want to Eeeeeeek or use it in conjunction with Rocket's Zapdos' Electroburn attack. Energy: 18 9 Psychic Energy 7 Lightning Energy 2 Metal Energy Now, the challenging part - Trainers. We have 27 spots to choose from, but what to add in? Well, you need more draw in the first place. So add in 2 more Professor Oak and 2 more Computer Search. Then, add in one more Item Finder. Having the ability to search through your discard pile and get whatever Trainer you want is a great ability indeed. Since you are lacking somewhat in speed, add in another Professor Elm. Next, you need 2 Resistance Gyms because your deck is somewhat vulnerable to Sneasel and Clefable. They both have Psychic Resistance and have attacks that can take advantage of you if not dealt with early. Now, you need Trainer denial. Add in 3 Lass. Lass always and somehow disrupts your opponents actions. It is such a good card, it is played in most decks just for that reason. Now, for a final touch, add in one The Rocket's Training Gym.
