1) Gyarados, you say. The theme of this deck is Gyarados. So what, pray tell, is Dewgong still doing in there? Yank him--I love him, but he's taking up space. Actually, Gyarados himself takes up space--more space than is probably worth it with Articuno available and everybody and their brother wielding Scyther. But what the heck--it's a Gyarados deck, right? Yank Wartortle altogether, perhaps keeping in one if Mew or Trainer destruction are favorite strategies in your area, and up to 4 Squirtle.

You're having trouble with Psychic? That says Mr. Mime to me, because most other psychic Pokemon should fall quickly to your powered-up evolutions. Even Alakazam can be dealt with with a GOW, a timely Bubblebeam and a bit of luck. Anyway, for Mime, what you want is Lapras. Which you've already got. Stick with him, and because this isn't strictly a turbo Dance, I'm going to insert one Kangaskhan purely to help you fight off psychic. This guy is a solid wall to most psy Pokemon. Don't drop him unless you really need him, though.

2) Breeder and Search are good. Potion and Switch are... not. We've got 6 spaces to work with right off the bat, and at least three of those should go to Oaks. Actually, probably four. In the remaining spaces, we want a couple of PlusPower (get Blastoise over the hump), GOW ('nuff said)and Item Finder (again, duh.)

3) Energy should be enough. You've got Retrieval, and you'll be able to draw through your deck pretty quickly. I read somewhere that having four of a card (i.e., Oak) in your deck gives you a 40% chance of seeing one in your starting hand and almost a 100% chance of getting one in the first several turns thereafter. So unless you hear people mention "shuffling" and wonder what the heck they're talking about, energy shouldn't be a problem.

Okay, I miscounted a tad, which is why there's only 20 energy in the deck instead of 21. I still think it should be fine, though. My FIRE deck, which has 1 less Oak and 1 less CPU Search, runs fine on 19 energy of color. Three Retrieval should help ensure that you have few problems in this regard.
