Deck Name -- Cloning Isn't Just For Sheep Anymore!

Deck Creator-- Kevin "Viper rike" Hine

Creators E-mail-- Viper rike

Strategy/Purpose -- The purpose of my deck is to clone your opponent's attacks, forcing him to face the same beatdown that he is giving you. Besides my deck's fighting weakness it can be used against haymakers, if you happen to come across a Hitmonchan, simply put out a Gastly and watch him try to "jab" for nothing. This deck is also great for those kids that say "I can beat you because I have four Charizards in my deck!" Clefable + Gust of Wind = Dead Charizard, see, it's simple math! Dittos obviously need to be put down at the right time and place, and the Chanseys and mimes are to stall those heavy hitters until you get out a Clefairy/Clefable or Ditto. And of course, one of the most important cards in my deck, Fossil Gastly! Taking back those two Double Colorless at the near end of battle is pure genius. Well, without further Adieu, my deck...

Overview

I do like this deck, and it's similar to the deck I'm using now. I also like that the report is thorough and the maker of the deck put some effort into it. These are the kind I'd like to see more often. It looks well built already, but could still use a little tweaking. The strategy is strong because of the energy efficiency- use expensive attacks for one Energy, while powering up your bench at the same time. This makes it a very fast deck too.

Pok閙on

The Pok閙on look good, but the ratios are a little odd. Also, you don't have a whole lot of backup power for when someone sends out something with a weak attack to stall, like a Seel. If a Lickitung comes out they'll have plenty of time to recover, and if Chansey comes out you either retreat, scrunch, or kill yourself. I prefer to retreat and send out a big hitter, but you don't have many. So, let's start by dropping two Gastly. It's more of a utility, and the space can be put to better use.

You could probably take out one Chansey, too. He's good for stalling or picking up the last couple prizes, but you won't need that till late game, and this deck wants to attack, not stall. Drop one Chansey. I'd like to add some MP Mewtwo, since he's a good strong attacker and you're already running Psychic. However, a colorless deck would be resistant to most of your Pokemon. Let's add three Scyther instead. Now you have a whole lot of Pok閙on that can use those four DCE too.

The Pok閙on should be fine now. Clefable's your main attacker, Scyther, Ditto, and Mr. Mime are backup. Ditto and Mime are only in pairs because they're usually more situationally useful, whereas there are three Scyther because he goes with anything (like ketchup =). My only other thought is that I'd like to add MP Mewtwo, maybe him instead of Mime? Or maybe instead of Gastly, since Scyther can take care of Chan... I guess that can be a personal choice.

Trainers

I see what you're saying about Here Comes Team Rocket. However, you have to look at it two ways- the more you have, the more "dead" cards you'll have after you use one. But, you'll also get one sooner. With only one, you're likely to get it more late-game, after you've already taken several prizes. Also, it's a double edged sword in that it helps your opponent too. I'd just take it out. My next question is, why Pok閏enter? With no way to move damage or Energy around, you'll most likely ER yourself a lot. Sure your Wiggly only loses one Energy, but that powred up Scyther you started with that has the two damage on it is gonna get SER'd. Let's take those out and add two Bill. I'd like to add a little more card drawing, let's take out one Gust of Wind and add two more Bill. You could probably get by with two Scoop Up too, let's take one out for the fourth Energy Removal.

Energy

Looks just fine the way it is. Since most everything can use colorless, the Rocket Energies work well here. Good Job!

4 Clefairy
3 Clefable
3 Scyther
2 Chansey
2 Ditto
2 F Gastly / MP Mewtwo
2 Mr. Mime / MP Mewtwo

4 Bill
2 Professor Oak

Energy (21)

The MP Mewtwo/Gastly/Mr. Mime choice will be left up to you. I'm inclined to take out Gastly, but if it works for you, you know the saying- don't try to fix something that's not broken. Good luck!
