Xerox Deck
July 12, 2000

Hey, it's me, Jin from IRC and Pojo's Apprentice
League. =) Thought I'd be one o' the first to submit a
deck, even though it's a sorry one like mine. /_\ here
goes!

4 Clefairy
3 Clefable
4 Hitmonchan                = 18 Pokemon, 15 Basic
4 Magmar (Fossil)
3 Ditto

3 Bill
2 Professor Oak
2 Computer Search
3 Gust of Wind
2 Super Energy Removal    =  16 Trainers
2 Super Potion
2 Rocket's Sneak Attack

11 Fighting Energy
12 Fire Energy                  = 26 Energy
3 Double Colorless Energy

The basis of this deck is to get either Hitmonchan or
Magmar out first and doing good damage for low Energy
costs, while getting Clefable or Ditto on your bench.
When your opponent starts evolving, get Ditto or Clef
in there and start using those big attacks!  Since the
attacks used in here don't really use much energy for
the bang they put out, I slipped in some SERs and
Super Potions, since SPs can throw a player off
totally if they don't expect it.

Metagame note: I used to use Electabuzz, but since the
players around here were using Scyther to wallop me, I
subbed Magmar in to deal with that.

Let 'er rip, Dolly. ::hides::

Hey, Jin!!!.

Glad you wrote!  Your deck was one of the first I received, but I have gotten in over 200 total, so I am just getting to it now.  Besides, my computer decided it hated me and the hard drive crashed.  I lost all my deck submissions to Doll's House... I just happened to have a copy of yours and a couple others on Scott's computer, so lucky you! ;)

Well, Clefable sure is a fun line to run... copy any attack for only 1 energy.... yummy! But it sure is nasty when someone puts a ditto up against him *I did that at the last tourney I went to... My Ditto vs. his Fable stalling until I had a nice hand to take him down - ::grin::*  Anywho.... let's see what fun we can have with this.... I'm going to speed your deck up some, so use Oak as needed, then replace lost cards with NGR's.

Pokémon:

Hmmm.... I think your Pokemon are fine, but let's open some slots by paring the numbers a bit... dump one 'chan, one 'fairy, and one Magmar. Other than that, looks nice.

Trainers:

Ever feel the need for speed? Let's get this revved up a bit.  Add another Oak and Comp Search, and let's get your discard pile working for you with some Item Finders.  With speed you'll need some "get back" power, so we'll add Night Garbage Run also. And we will definitely be cutting back the energy, so we'll add some Energy Retrievals back in.  And how about some regular Energy Removals. RSA is excellent in faster decks, so it fits well with this fix... I'll add a another.... try to RSA first turn if possible to destroy your opponent's card search and draw capability -- look for Oaks, Comp Searches, Bills, or ER.  Later in the game, add Item Finder to that list.

Energy:

Let's really cut it here. Speed will run you thru your deck quickly, so you'll be running across the energy you need.  If necessary, NGR and ER will get back anything you may lose.

New Deck Listing:

Pokémon - #15
3 Clefairy
3 Clefable
3 Hitmonchan
3 Magmar (Fossil)
3 Ditto

Trainers - #28
3 Bill
3 Professor Oak
3 Computer Search
2 Item Finder
3 Gust of Wind
2 Super Energy Removal
3 Energy Removal
2 Super Potion
3 Rocket's Sneak Attack
2 Night Garbage Run
2 Energy Retrieval

Energy - #17
7 Fighting Energy
7 Fire Energy
3 Double Colorless Energy

Hope you like it, Jin... have fun and see you on mIRC!
