Well, I can see where you might be slipping in the
final rounds. Competition gets tougher (for the most
part) as you go along, and this deck has a few flaws
that could be fixed. Hopefully I'll be able to help
you make it keep going strong even in later rounds.

1) You can start by making your Pokemon a bit less
random. Drop the Basic Magmar for some more
Fossils--while it may be true that Basic gives you the
heavy damage, it takes too long to charge up and has
several major drawbacks. Next, I'm going to go ahead
and laugh at your Rattatas, OK? I know he can do 20
for 1 energy--nothing bad about that--but his
usefulness begins and ends there, especially with psy
resistance already in the deck. Replace both him and
the Farfetch'd with...*drum roll*...you guessed
it...Scyther. Now, let me explain something. You do
NOT need to change your energy configuration to run
Scyther. Scyther runs fine with no grass energy
anywhere in sight. I realize you like having the
possible 30 for 1, but for my money, I'd much rather
have free retreating and extra HP--not to mention
avoiding weakness to the ever-popular Electabuzz.
Lastly, we deal with Kangaskhan and Ditto. I, of
course, have no problem with Kangaskhan, and I'm going
to make a rare departure from my standard position and
leave Ditto. As opposed to the people who merely chuck
one in their deck, you seem to know what you're doing
with him...so I'll leave it to your judgement.

2) Your trainers are all great. Every last one. Well,
not Pokedex. I disagree with the use of Pokedex--why
waste time rearranging your top 5 cards when you can
just slap down an Oak and have them in your hand the
hell already? As I've said, Pokedex is okay except for
the fact that there are so many better
alternatives--the same can be said about a lot of the
"not-so-good" trainers in Pokemon. Here is where I
would put the Item Finders in.

3) Your energy seems a bit high, actually. If you
like, you can take a couple of the fire energies out
for another trainer or two, though I've no idea what.
I'll leave it for now, but keep this in mind as a
primary source of space should you need it.

Whoopsie! We were one card over the limit. Since I
added and subtracted exactly, this was probably a bug
in your original deck. Easy enough to fix by dropping
an energy. That should be all. I was a bit leery of
having only 12 Pokemon, but I've seen decks that run
fine on that much.

Oh, and by the way--your comment that Vulpix should
learn to speak English? Well, I popped this idea to
him. He wasn't too keen on it at first, but after a
while he began to realize that a knowledge of English
would allow him to make prank phone calls to Scott
Gerhardt's cell phone.
<ed. note:  You know, I'm not too sure how much I would like that.  I get enough human weirdos calling on it - a Pokemon would certainly be something different. -Scott>
Plus, as he said, "If some
stupid cat can do it, so can I." So I've ordered
Vulpix a set of language tapes, and we'll see how far
this goes.
