A little bit of everything. These decks are very hard to play and not as strong as a finely tuned deck. Pull on up to the garage and let's see if we can put your deck up on the rack and look under the hood. Hmm... verbal estimate you ask? It needs a lot of work... but, I'm feeling like a generous mechanic today and we'll say... free.

Of course, all my deck fixes are free. It is a wonder that my garage can stay in business. Guess I'll need to fire that secretary that keeps me organized. Ahh well...

But, before we get too far, let's try to get rid of a few of the bumps and bruises your frame has taken. You've got to have a quality body to your deck or the lost mileage will accumulate. Most good decks make use of about 15 basic pokemon. And try to choose 4 or 5 pokemon to focus on. Let's just replace a couple panels here and there...

Hmm... a 3 color paint job? Most decks that come into my garage are 2 colors. Usually a primary and a hilight. For your psychic, it looks like you've got some great choices there. However, your hilights of fighting and grass really aren't so strong. Let's choose grass and get a nice clash of purple and green for your deck. That should make everyone think you have the coolest deck in town as you take it down the street!

Pokemon (14 Basic + 8 Evols = 22 Total):
2 Kangaskhan
4 Gastly (Fossil)
3 Haunter (Fossil)
2 Gengar
4 Venonat
3 Venomoth
4 Scyther

There! Painting over that brown color sure does make it look prettier. Don't you think? Now you can use that psychic to play with moving scratches around on your opponent's pokemon, while continuing to dish out more scratches with Venomoth or Scyther! Then don't forget to send them in to my shop. They'll probably need a paint job themselves after you are through with them.

Looks like you've got a bit too large of an energy tank for your deck though. We can take it out and put in a smaller one. Should help the deck's efficiency. After all, a smooth running deck is better than one that stalls on us or breaks down! Nothing worse than driving halfway during your match and then you sputter and stall-out. Ooooh... I hate that. I prefer putting in a 24 gallon tank, 20 of that being your basic energy and 4 being your nifty booster-like double colorless.

Energy (20 Basic + 4 DCE = 24 Total):
8 Psychic
12 Grass
4 Double Colorless Energy

Well, now that we've taken care of the body and the paint job. Guess we should get down to what makes a deck run. The trainers are the engine to a deck. We want our deck to purr like a kitty, so let's make sure we have our 4 Bills and other card drawing power. Again, we don't want to experience engine problems and have our deck stall in the middle of a game! The rest of the engine we'll tune to support our theme of cursing and attacking with our grass pokemon. Some Gusts of Wind and Energy Removal should help well. Hmm, our body has limited us to only (60 - 22 - 24 = 14) 14 slots of room for our engine though. So, we'll need to make sure we tune it carefully.

Trainers (14 Total):
4 Bill
1 Professor Oak
1 Gambler
1 Computer Search
3 Gust of Wind
2 Energy Removal
2 Super Energy Removal

Here's the keys to your deck back. Hope you learned something and your deck runs a bit better now. Just remember, every deck out there is different and will run different. Even identical decks have different drivers, and they will play them differently. Test drive your deck for a while until you get used to it before trying to take it out for competition. Thanks for coming!
