NOTE: Don't give a deck mechanic ideas... you never know what you are asking for ;)

How do you start off with a good beat?
Step up and fix a deck so its sweet?
You want me to get down and groovy,
So here I go with the deck-fix boogie!

So let's start with the pokemon mix,
We need to drop your basics by about six,
Fourteen to eighteen is about max,
Looks like you prefer electric and grass.

We'll need our 4 Oddish and 2 Ditto,
Let's remove the Porygons, 30 HP is too little,
Move up to 4 Electabuzz, he's very neat!
But only 2 Zapdos, they've got a high retreat.

For evolutions, we'll stick with 3 Vileplume,
However, we should add in a couple of Gloom.
This is because we might not draw a Breeder,
But still need to evolve to get that healer.

Pokemon (15 Basic + 2 Evols = 16 Total):
4 Oddish
2 Gloom
3 Vileplume
3 Scyther
4 Electabuzz
2 Zapdos
2 Ditto

Our next step to a deck's surgery,
Is to get the right mix of energy.
We'll make use of 4 double colorless,
And 20 basics should keep us from a fuss.

Energy (20 Basic + 4 DCE = 24 Total):
9 Grass
11 Electric
4 Double Colorless Energy

So we're left with 20 slots for trainers,
About half of that we'll use as no-brainers,
Bills, Oaks, Gamblers, and Computer Searches too,
Will give us the draw power to run our deck through.

Three Breeders and two Scoop Ups for Zapdos,
Gust of Winds to usher out something to toast.
Add energy removal to give us some disruption,
Hopefully now, your deck will really function!

Trainers (20 Total):
4 Bill
2 Professor Oak
2 Gambler
2 Computer Search
3 Pokemon Breeder
3 Gust of Wind
2 Energy Removal
2 Super Energy Removal

Now to all of those that read through my little boogie,
I hope you don't think I'm no longer groovy,
Fact is I like to keep you all on your toes,
I encourage you all to make new decks to battle your foes!

Anyone can copy a deck to build that they found online,
Change it a little and think it is really fine.
But the real challenge of pokemon is to have fun,
Build a new concept and tune it until it becomes number one!
