Okay...a bit of explanation is, perhaps, in order. I
mentioned a while back in one or another of my
incoherent ramblings that I'd like to see a deck
called Icy Bench Manipulator. At the time, it was what
is known as a "joke." You were supposed to laugh and
then go on with your life. Of course, some people have
way too much free time (no offense) and so this deck
arrived in my mailbox shortly thereafter. I was
actually kind of intrigued. So I decided to fix it.

1) Articuno isn't actually the Pokemon I would use for
bench destruction decks. The obvious reason for this
is that his attack can backfire. I just suggested him
because Blizzard does, indeed, have the potential for
bench destruction, and Articuno's being an ice-type
completed the joke. But let's see what we can do with
it. Your Pokemon seem OK, with one exception being
that you have no really great starters. Against a fast
deck, Mime and Articuno will be toast before they can
get off more than one or two attacks. Gastly is the
only Poke I would want for a starter, and your chances
of getting one are not too hot. Therefore, I would
drop Mime for Jynx. Same idea, but better HP and
one-energy attack--and it has a better time working
through resistance. No hate mail from Mime lovers,
please--I think he's a pretty good Poke, and he
certainly does a good job of balancing out the
environment a bit, but I just think something else is
called for here. Next, I'd like to drop Gengar to
4-3-2 and add in a couple of Lapras, which will offer
some additional protection against psy resistance.
That should be all we have to do right here.

2) All of your trainers seem fine. You have the key
elements of a good deck. I would probably go with 3
Searches and 2 Item Finders instead of the other way
around. Actually, I also wanna drop a Gust and an ER
to add in a couple of Energy Retrievals, which look
like they might come in handy given your relatively
low amount of energy.

3) While you might have a few energy problems, you've
got a substantial amount of searching, drawing and
retrieving to compensate for the low overall amount.
So let's leave it as-is for right now. If you have
energy problems, these are usually the easiest part of
the deck to fix on your own.

Okay...now the full story behind this deck. I and my
brother were discussing a Japanese Hypno (the Rocket
one, I believe) which has an attack called "Bench
Manipulator." I commented that I'd like to see an
Ice-type Pokemon with an attack called "Icy Bench
Manipulator." Then I realized that there was already
an Ice Pokemon with a bench-damaging attack. The idea
percolated in my mind, and, a few weeks later, I threw
it out as an aside to demonstrate to the world how
much free time I have to come up with amazingly lame
jokes. This guy picked up on it and sent me this deck.
A couple of other people sent variations as well, but
I decided to only post one.

BTW, if anybody actually tries this deck or a variant
thereof, tell me how it does!
