TURBOrainbow
Deck Type: Potpourri Style
December 6, 2000

Name: Tim Darch

mIRC nickname: Retro_Vest

Email Address: retro_vest@hotmail.com

Skill Level: advanced (i play DCI tournaments every second sunday and win occasionaly)

Speed Metagame in your area: Fast

Strategy of your deck: i found that in the tournaments i play in most people play decks that have few pokemon in their deck and start with only one as their active. i made a deck that follows prop 15/3c with the main stratagy being to start with a scyther and hopefully have an oak or search in your first hand to help you find a pokemon that is their pokemons weakness and put a DCE on your pokemon eg if they have jiggly i find a machop(rocket). then i oak, search, bill for as many plus powers as i can to hopefully ko them on my first go. if i dont go first i stall with lickitung and scyther to build up a my main hitter electabuzz.

Deck Name: TURBOrainbow

Deck Listing

How does your deck do?: ive played about 20 games with this deck so far and they havent been against other prop15/3c decks. i have won around 40-50% of all these games, and some of the common problems that i found were i had lots of damage on my bench, i was always retreating to avoid defeat, in the games i didn't go first i found i was up against just more than 1 of my opponents pokemon. ive won once by decking my opponent(my brother), about 4 times first go and once or twice by taking all my prizes and a couple of times by benching.

Other info you feel is important: i dont mind if you change this deck to a non prop15/3c deck as is isnt an important factor and it doesnt need to be, i was just trialing a few of them incase this rule came in.  THANKS IN ADVANCE!!! : )

Hey, Tim...

If you are in an area that can get you first turn kills, then a trapper deck would probably be great to run.  But for now I'm going to fix this one as best as possible.

Pokémon:

Run mainly with Buzz, Scyther and Licki.  The others are just in case.  Numbers have been adjusted some.

Trainers:

Plus Power is going to be really important with this deck.  So will Gust of Wind.  I added Scoop and Switch, and some Item Finders to get back what you need.

Energy:

Yeowsa!  Forget the Fight and Grass and a lot of the others.  I left just what was important.

New Deck Listing:

Pokémon - #15
3 Lickitung
3 Scyther

3 Electabuzz
2 Machop (Rocket)
2 Squirtle (Rocket)
2 Blaine's Charmander (lv. 16)

Trainers - #27
4 Professor Oak
3 Bill
3 Computer Search
4 PlusPower
4 Gust of Wind
4 Item Finder
3 Scoop Up
2 Switch

Energy - #18
4
Double Colourless Energy
4 Full Heal Energy
10 Lightning Energy

Best of luck, and let me know how it goes with this latest version...
