Hi, welcome to the Savage Garden. Stay
outta the shadows and you won't get hurt/eaten :D. Anyway, let's get to the
deck...
Light at the End of the Tunnel 1.7 (neon)
(Non-Slowking version)
Pokémon: 14
3x Ledyba (N1)
3x Lt.
Ledian
3x Psyduck (Fossil/Promo)
3x Lt. Golduck
2x Cleffa (N1)
Modular Pokémon: 4
2x Pichu (N1)
2x Pikachu (N1)
Comments:
Amphy proved to be less off a threat than Slowking or Kingdra.
However, you
can always swap Tyrogue back in.
Trainers: 12
4x Pokémon Trader
4x Elm
4x Bill
Modular Trainers: 12
4x Double Gust
2x Gold
Berry
2x Potion
2x Focus Band
2x Pokémon Tower
Energy: 12
6x Grass Energy
5x Psychic Energy
1x Miracle Energy (No one ever
expects it)
Modular Energy: 6
4x Rainbow Energy
2x Full Heal Energy
Comments: Unchanged. Special Conditions are somewhat rare, but with
Burned
looming on the horizon, who knows?
(Slowking version)
-4 Double Gust (unless you really want to find room for Balloon Berry)
-2 Pichu (should explain itself)
+3 Slowpoke (N1)
+3 Slowking
(N1-but you knew that)
If you wanted a fourth:
-2 Full Heal
Energy
+1 Slowpoke (N1)
+1 Slowking (N1)
Basically, you bend
this deck to your will. The modular cards can be swapped
out to make room
for any changes in the metagame. It thrives in a non-diverse
environment
because you can tech anything. Lt. Ledian serves as the main
attacker, while
Lt. Golduck cleans up fire, metal, and babies. My hope is
this deck will
keep archetypes in check.
Steven "Yoshi" Reich
Master Pokémon
Professor
Oooh, me likes. It can be adjusted to go against any
deck, very cool.
Pokemon
Ok, first thing I notice is that
you didn't max out on Cleffa. I usually like to max out on cleffa in my decks,
but you've got sufficient card drawing power already, so I'll just bump him up
to 3 by ditching a Full Heal energy. Tyrouge is great for the possible FTKO, and
usually can help you in a tight spot, so we'll add 2 of him, ditching the focus
bands. Focus Band isn't really needed as much as it was in Modified, so it's ok
to remove them.
Trainers
I'm going max out on
Gold Berry, ditching the two potions. I'm not sure exactly why anyone
would play Pokey Tower in MMF, but hey, whatever. We're going to change that to
Healing Fields if you honestly feel a gym breaker is necessary.
Energy
Looks fine here, but I think we should swap 2
rainbows for 2 recycle energy. It's nice to pay for Golduck's retreat so you can
use your Double Gusts happily and without consequences.
Tweaked Light
at the End of the Tunnel
3 Psyduck (promo)
3 Light Golduck
3
Ledyba (genisis)
3 Light Ledian
3 Cleffa
2 Pikachu (genisis)
2
Pichu
2 Tyrouge
Pokemon = 21
4 Trader
4 Elm
4 Bill
4 Double Gust
4 Gold Berry
2 Healing Fields
Trainers = 22
6 Grass
5 Psychic
2 Rainbow
2 Recycle
1 Miracle
1
FHE
Energy = 17
To add Slowking in this deck:
- 2 Healing
Field
- 3 Double Gusts
- 1 Pikachu
- 2 Pichu
+ 3 Slowpoke
+ 3 Slowking
+ 2 Balloon Berry
I left one Double Gust in just in
case you end up getting a Slowking Mean Looked or something. Plus, you never
know when a Double'll come in handy... Obviously, Balloon Berry is also a
precaution, and can also help you get out of a tight spot, and enable you to use
your one Double without consequence.
Good luck with this deck, Yoshi! Oh
yeah, watch out for the Daisy on the way out, it's teething ;).
