Another Wiggly
August 2, 2000

Hi Doll! This is Glh03 from mIRC. Congratulations for doing well at the STS!
Anyway, I think this deck is pretty good. Maybe it could use some work
though. I find it really hard to change cause most anything I try to take
out, I wanna keep. But edit in a way that you think will do better. Thanks
for your help!

I did make it to the T20 on Pojo's ladder before I got bored of ladder
matches and quit.

Speed Metagame in your area: Considering I usually play on Apprentice a
lot... Fast - Ultra Fast

Strategy of your deck: Basically a common (quick, i think) Wiggly beatdown
with ER theme.

Hey, Gary!....

Okay, for you I will break down and fix a wiggly deck *g*. Hmm... since your area metagame speed is fast, we'll work on giving you some extra speeeeeeed here.

Pokémon:

14 Basics used to be the norm for Wiggly decks, but in a speed environment, you need the space for trainers. Maximum basics is 12, but that can be knocked to 11 or even 10 by top players. We'll try to stick to 12 here for now. The types are fine and can counter each other's weaknesses, so are good choices. We'll also knock down Wiggly to 3. For a high speed deck with NGR, that should be fine.

Trainers:

Here's where you'll activate your speed engine. High speed with the least susceptibility to trainer disruption = 4 each Oak, Bill, Comp Search and Item Finder.  Rocket Sneak Attack gives you a means to strip their hand of SER, ER, Comp Search or Oak turn one, disabling their search powers and hopefully setting them back a turn or 2. Your goal here will to have Wiggly powered up with a full bench and a disabled opponent by turn 2. You'll have to rip through your deck to do it, but if you pull it off, you will be difficult to beat. Use NGR to recycle Pokemon and Energy as needed.

Energy:

For focus and speed's sake, we'll drop the Grass Energy. Scyther becomes a place holder at this point, and it's so much less useful without PlusPower anyhow.  I'll also drop the Energy count some, since ripping your deck will turn up what you need, and NGR will recycle them if you need to.

New Deck Listing:

Pokémon - #15
4 Jigglypuff
3 Wigglytuff
3 Hitmonchan
2 Ditto
3 Scyther

Trainers - #28
4 Professor Oak
4 Computer Search
4 Item Finder
4 Bill
2 Energy Removal
1 Switch
3 Gust of Wind
3 Nightly Garbage Run
3 Rocket Sneak Attack

Energy - #17
4 Double Colorless Energy
13 Fighting Energy

Glad to hear from you, Gary! Hope this works for ya!
