Hello all, This is a deck that has been in the works for weeks now. I say "weeks" because I really can't remember exactly when Khapoera of Pojo's EzBoard caught me on AIM with the backbone of the deck; basically, getting an un-confusable Dark Vileplume up front to hack away at everything with its newly drawbackless attack. This deck really does have potential in Modified. If you can pull of the combo, it's sick. Very little can break the Vileplume lock once its activated, which makes for one scary mamajama. Here it is. >>>> Har har? Hey Satashi. This is Khap. This new deckage is my latest installment of the [infamous] Epidemic. People think it REALLY sucks, but if you're one of those people, then you must be playing it incorrectly, or have an INCREDIBLY InSaNe deck. BTW, this is for Modified. Also: Satashi SuXXoRz liak whoa! He is the worst Deck Mech. in the whole world! X\ [/sarcasm] ~The Epidemic [v3.a]~ _Pokémon: 21_ 4 Oddish (TR) 4 Dark Gloom 3 Dark Vileplume (NH) 3 Cleffa 3 Ledyba (NG) 2 Light Ledian 2 Murkrow _Energy: 15_ 11 Grass 4 Darkness _Trainer: 24_ 4 Professor Elm 4 Erika 3 Misty’s Wrath 3 Imposter Oak’s Revenge 3 Focus Band 2 Rocket’s Hideout 2 Sabrina’s Gaze 2 Warp Point/Double Gust 1 Time Capsule -~Strategy~- Use Light Ledian to Flash Touch with Murkrow. Third turn you should have Dark Vileplume out and should have established the old-fashioned Lock via Dark Gloom by now. Some things that may need explanation: Sabrina's Gaze is a good card, believe it or not. It is usually drawn by Erikas, considering that I won't draw it if there are only 2 multiples in the deck. Wapr Point/Double Gusts are TecH cards for those InSaNeLy fast decks out there that abuse card drawing so much that they have around 20 cards by turn 3. Misty's Wrath is GOD in this deck. Not really, but you would understand, I hope. =X You need to choose what you can recycle back into the deck (via Time Capsule) and what you can keep; what you can keep because you have extras in the deck (discarding an Erika b/c you know you have 3 more) etc. etc. That's about it! Let's see you fix this mother. HAR!? X/ >>>> HAR yourself, Khap. Anyways, what with being on the original Epidemic team-"The Crew," as it was called-I guess it's only right that I fix its third version. ;\ _Pokémon: 21_ 4 Oddish (TR) 4 Dark Gloom 3 Dark Vileplume (NH) 3 Cleffa 3 Ledyba (NG) 2 Light Ledian 2 Murkrow Okay, this is fine. We've gone over this quite a bit since the first version, and basically all that's changed is the third Ledyba, which was a good idea, btw. 2-2 lines don't usually work; espeically in decks where they are needed in order to get the deck working properly. 3-2 is a lot nicer, so yeah. X\ Pokémon look fine. I'd really like to see a Psyduck in here somehow, but without Rainbow, meh. =/ One thing I'd like to suggest, however, is the inclusion of a lone Neo: Revelations Sneasel. Quick Attack is nice, and Swipe can be great to get rid of Tools they may have played early game...the last thing we need is to be dealing with Focus Band after Focus Band. =/ Ditch a Sabrina's Gaze for a lone NR Sneasel _Pokémon: 22_ 4 Oddish (TR) 4 Dark Gloom 3 Dark Vileplume (NH) 3 Cleffa 3 Ledyba (NG) 2 Light Ledian 2 Murkrow 1 Sneasel (NR) Now, the Energy is fine. No worries. X/ Onto the Trainers. _Trainer: 23_ 4 Professor Elm 4 Erika 3 Misty’s Wrath 3 Imposter Oak’s Revenge 3 Focus Band 2 Rocket’s Hideout 2 Warp Point/Double Gust 1 Time Capsule 1 Sabrina's Gaze Okay, okay...well, I've made the adjustment to fit NR Sneasel, and we're left with 23 trainers now. And frankly, I can't see anything I'd want to change. This deck's been through a lot of changes and playtesting vs Phlosion, Gatr, Bat, ad infinitum and has done pretty damn well. Best of luck Khap! Well, that's all for now, folks. Good luck and happy gaming!
