VULPIX: We wanted to honor his wishes. We really did. But we couldn't find an awesome deck in his e-mail, so we had to post this instead.

Waterking. Catchy name. Yes, I see. You have Water Pokemon... and you have Nidoking. Hee hee. I admit it makes a slightly more fearsome name than "Pray For Evolutions," which is the other possibility I was able to come up with. Unless you draw Scyther, Pinsir, or one of your evolutions (not bloody likely) the amount of turns this deck will last can be counted on one paw.

Here's the statistics:

Evolution Families: 4
Well-Constructed Evolution Families: 0
Good Starting Basics: 2
Incredibly Weak Basics: 7

As you can see, there's only 9 basics overall, which is the problem with having this many evolutions in a deck. Since his families don't get much better than 2-2-2 (in fact, they get a whole lot worse) his chances of matching basics and evolutions is pretty bad.

But he can search for them!

No, he can't.

Which brings us to the second major part of the deck: Trainers. This guy is full of surprises. He has his deck crammed with Removal and PlusPower. And multiples of them! It's enough to warm my little vulpine heart, and it also confuses the heck out of me when I compare it with his Pokemon distribution. Hmm, what are those other trainers? Full Heal... and Defender. Hmm. Interesting. No Bills. No Oaks. No searching, not even Pokeball. Apparently he'd rather be able to cure his Pokemon of the occasional status effect than have the ability to snag anything he needs. This juxaposition of good trainers with bad trainers, all against the backdrop of some really mediocre Pokemon choices, lends a sort of surreal effect to the entire deck.

Energy... Wouldn't be neccessarily bad if it weren't for everything else.

That's about it. My eyes are starting to hurt. I think I'll go lie down for a while.

SPIKE: You need to cut it down to two evolution families. I'd recommend Gyarados and something else. Then you need strong basics like Lapras, maybe Scyther... you know the drill. I'm tired of repeating my trainer lecture, so just take a look at some other decks I've fixed. See if you can't get some ideas. Good luck. Man, my head is killing me.
