As you may or may not know, I'm doing the decks again this week. For details of Spike's WOTC-induced nervous breakdown, see my Corner for this week. As usual, I figured two decks were enough due to my relative lack of experience and also my laziness. Geez, I hope I remember to add all the cards correctly this time...

1) I have to admit that I see nothing wrong with the Pokemon. They are great. 4 Electabuzz is almost a given, the Raichu family fits with your theme, Zapdos resists fighting while dishing bench damage, and Scyther kills any electric-resistant Pokemon dead.. One thing I might do... and it's only a suggestion, mind you... is replace the Jungle Pikachu with the League version. Yeah, I know there's no bench destruction, but consider the higher HP and useful attack for 1 energy. Keep in mind that Pikachu, while cute, is only to serve until you can search/draw for your big beating stick and start making mincemeat of your opponent's bench. Ditto? Nah. While he might not be awful, he wouldn't be much good. You've got better.

2) I notice that the trainer portion of a deck is often where Spike starts screaming. Apparently there are many people who, having put together an assortment of Pokemon that would shame Brian Brokaw, totally lose it when required to make clear, logical trainer choices. This deck doesn't hit that level, fortunately. Here's my verdict on your only two questionable trainers. Defender = Yes, simply because it hangs around for another turn. Drop them to 3, though. Potion = No. Take it out. What to do with 3 spaces? I really think PlusPower would help in this deck, since overall your attacks are pretty low on active damage. Give it a shot. Another idea would be to add a Bill, an Oak, and a Computer Search, or to put in Item Finder.

3) 24 energy is not by any means too much in my experience--especially for a deck like this with two four-energy attacks. Leave it as it is.

A decent bench-hosing deck, and one of the first I've seen that doesn't use Gengar. Take it out and see what you can do with it. Now I've got to go see if Spike is still in bed.
