Subject: Re: X-treme(ly bad) deak(deck)

    Hi Anthony,
I'd really love to meet the people you've claimed to have beaten
with this deck. Only after they find out they've been beaten by an
illegal deck. You wouldn't even get through the door at any respectable
tournment with it.
    ::: Rant Mode On :::
I'll just mention the major problems first before I go through this
thing like Freedy Krugger. Number 1 on the list is it's 64 cards! 4
cards over the limit! Problem number 2 is the use of Stage 1 & 2 Pokemon
without the necassary basics! What are you thinking? You can just put
down a Gyarados and no one will know the difference? Yea, Right! If you
tried that aginst me, I'd have you kicked out of that tournment soooo
fast you wouldn't know what hit you!!!
    ::: Rant Mode Off :::
Ok, now with that out of the way, I can get to seriously tearing
this X-tremely bad deck (and yes this is the proper way to spell deck)
apart and try to salvage something useable (not bloodly likely, but I
can dream...).
Fist off, getting rid of the useless stuff (and believe you & me
there's a lot of it). Starting with the Pokemon, from the top, lose
Ninetails (no Vulpix), Poliwrath (no Poliwag or Poliwhril), Gyarados (no
Magikarp), Machamp and the 2 Machokes (no Machop), Alakazam and Kadabra
(no Abra), both Pidgeottos (no Pidgey), and the Venusaur and Ivysaur (no
Bulbasaur). Notice most of the cards I removed were foils and that all
of them were Stage 1 or 2 Pokemon. I think I see a trend here. Well we
don't have to worry about any Trainer cards since you didn't include any
in your deck. Now for the energy. Might as well chuck it all since were
gonna have to build from scratch. Let's see... OH My God!! That's 45
cards removed! We're under 60 cards! Actually, were under 20 cards.
Well what does that leave us? From the top (in evolutionary order):
2 Charmanders, 1 Charmeleon, 2 Charizards, 1 Magmar, 1 Squirtle, 4
Wartortles, 2 Blastoises, 1 Porygon, 1 Hitmonchan, 1 Onix, 1 Gastly, 1
Haunter, and 1 Koffing. 19 basic and evolved Pokemon. What a moltely
bunch of Pokemon indeed.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess you have more than just
this so-called deck in cards. So now on to actually creating a useable
deck out of this mess (again not bloodly likely). Ya know, now that I'm
looking at this, this might be interesting. ::: devlish and evil grin
forms on Bryan's face ::: How about a fire-water deck revolving around
two of the most powerful Pokemon in the basic set, Blastoise and
Charizard! I mean I might as well. Outside of these 2 evolutionary sets,
you're showing crap to work with.
Here's the deck at a glance:
Pokemon, 23:
    Charmander x 4
    Charmeleon x 3
    Charizard x 2
    Squirtle x 4
    Wartortle x 3
    Blastoise x 2
    Magmar x 2
    Porygon x 3
Trainers (all theoretical since I have NO clue what trainers you have), 11:
    Bill x 2
    Energy Retrievals x 2
    Pokemon Breeder x 2
    Pokemon Trader x 3
    Professor Oak x 2
Energy (again theoretical since I don't know what energy cards you have total), 26:
    Double Colorless x 3
    Fire x 12
    Water x 11

Now on to the whys of this design. The Charmander and Squirtle sets
are self-explanatory. The Magmars add another basic and decent damage
giving pokemon. Why the Porygons? The reason is simple, stalling
tactics. I'm refering to Porygon's Conversion 2 attack. Put him active
and powered and let him act as a temporary stalling wall to what ever
type your facing. The use of the Trainers are to get the evolutions out
into play as soon as possible, as well as to recover energies from the
fire chuckers.
Beyond what's above, all I will say is for you to reread and reread
the rules on how to build decks. You may want to apologize to all the
people you've claimed to have beaten and pray they don't beat the snot
out of you. Believe me, nothing is worse in the world then to find out
you've been taken by someone who doesn't play by the rules and don't
realieze it until long after you've been taken.
I truely hope this helps you in your future enjoyment of the game.
