Phione Lv.23 MD

Well hey there! Today’s COTD today is none other than one of the most anticipated starters for the next season, Phione. The HP is low, the second attack is rubbish, and 1 retreat cost is only just low enough to use. But, you don’t play Phione for any of those. The first attack, wish for evolution, has some pretty amazing T2 stage 2 potential. Think of it like this, T1 you use Phione to evolve your benched pokemon, then T2 you evolve it normally and you have a T2 setup without rare candy! Only a few problems, if you can’t evolve during your next turn you play this attack, you’ve basically wasted your first turn… And late game this will only be shark bait (Shark Bait Who Ha Ha) and don’t even think of attaching a tool to this thing while Pachirisu is on the field.

Pros –

T2 possibilities

As long as you can get basics you can basically get any evolved pokemon you want!

Cons –

Second attack stinks

If you botch the T2 stage 2 it looses a lot of its luster

Late game its just shark bait (Shark Bait Who Ha Ha)

Modified – It will work great if you can pull it off, but it isn’t the ‘Almighty Starter’ everyone makes it out to be. 4.25/5

Limited – Evolve all of your pokemon without trainers?!? Heck yea! 5/5 (I’d go higher but the Pokemon Operation Organization won’t let me…)

What does the Pokemon Operation Organization do exactly? I don’t know…

Phione

Finally ive been waiting for this one. A good setup poke if I ever saw 1. Its competing wit other good cards like pachi and stantler. The evo part speeds up your deck a great deal candy without candy sure setup good good.. with a few decks to find basics you deck should be flying I no time. Sleep pulse on the other hand is useless in most cases..

Modified 3.5

Limited 5! (if you got bombs to find J)
