Delibird

Modified - Not a bad starter, as a turn 1 20 can put your opponent on the defensive. Boom 40 damage to Magmar. Other than that it's horrible. I hate flippy attacks. 2/5

Limited - The flippy attack is a little better here with the limited amount of search/draw this format provides. You can search for that evolution you need that's deep inside your deck. Again, 20 damage on the first turn is a good offensive tactic. 3/5

(03/21/08) - Delibird Lv. 26

Name: Delibird Lv. 26
Set: Great Encounters
Rarity: Uncommon

Analysis: Well, Delibird is good, since it can hit for 20 damage turn 1. Against Magmortar, that could be great early on because of weakness. Present is unreliable, but good if you are good at flipping coins. Its weakness is nothing to fret about, and it has decent HP. Good for a donking deck for quick damage, or good for a starter in a water deck.

Modified: Not bad, but it can do quick damage. Then again, it will also trigger easy scramble energy for Magmortar. (2/5)

Limited: Good HP and a couple good attacks. Search for what you need or simply do quick damage. (3/5)

Good morning to anyone reading this. This card is only good under two extreme circumstances… This first is turn 1 fire pokemon abuse (Magmar would still survive but…) and the second is… um… *Cough*doubleheadedcoin*Cough*

Pros –
T1 20
Present works great if you can only flip heads…
 *Cough*doubleheadedcoin*Cough*

Cons –
Can’t evolve
No good T2 or later
Present reeks if you flip a tails…
COIN FLIPS ARE EVIL!!!

Modified – Only use this and Unown H in a T1 donk deck! 1.5/5

Limited – Constant 20’s isn’t so bad here, and 50% anything is still good. 3.25/5

JUST USE SOMETHING BETTER PLEASE!!!

Can be used as a starter if you are good at flipping. But it will most likely spend its time in the limited format where getting your bomb can be essential. Iceball is cheap and fast and put pressure on the opponent , again best in limited where it is not just activating scramble.

Delibird:

Delibird is one of those cards everyone has a sweet side for but no-one admits to. Good HP for a basic, weakness that sees little play (at the moment) and a light retreat cost. Against water weakness decks, ice ball may actually inflict decent damage for a single energy. I like Delibird because the potential to get anything from your deck before your opponent even has a turn is a considerable threat. Something to try out and it gets a generous score from me:

3.7/5
