Modified - The poke-power is horrible. Rather than including 4 Unowns to remove special conditions, use a 1/1 Xatu line and put the special condition back on the opponent. Hidden Power is an interesting attack, since few Pokemon can actually do 30 damage on turn 1 of the game. Combo this with a lot of pluspowers/strength charms and you could win the game on turn 1 (as long as you go second). Once you get past the early-game though, Unown becomes useless. 2/5

Limited - You won't be getting all 4 Unowns, so the power is useless. Even though hidden power does decent damage for the cost, I wouldn't like having to discard a card from my hand every time I use it. 1/5
(03/14/08) - Unown H Lv. 12

Name: Unown H Lv. 12
Set: Great Encounters
Rarity: Rare (?!)

Analysis: I hate rare Unowns... They waste Booster Packs. Well this one isn't horrible. HEAL is dumb, you need HOW MANY Unown just to remove a special condition?? Use Xatu, it has a much better affect. This Hidden Power can allow you to donk a Gardellade deck before it gets started. As cowardly as this is, it can be effective. Pack Lake Boundaries and Mismagius and you have a great anti-Gardellade Deck.

Modified: Looking for a donking deck? Use this with Lucario and Lake Boundary, and away you go! (3/5)

Limited: Hits fast and hard for 1 energy. Discard useless stuff. (3/5)

Unown H Lv.12 GE
Oh, it’s Friday already! Today’s COTD today is more of a joke than a useful card. As lond as you take up 4 out of 5 of your bench spaces you can remove all special canditions form your active pokemon once per turn… Why not just use Xatu? Why do the Unown suck so badly? Shouldn’t people fear the Unown?
Pros –
OK turn 1 attack
Cons –
The power suck
The attack is T1 only
Modified – If I ever find out you are playing a tournament with this card in your deck I’m going to come down there personally and smack you! 1.25/5
Limited – Read above, subtract .25 points for obviously not wanting to kill your own hand here. 1/5
It should be 1/5 in modified, but its attack is decent turn 1 so I can’t =P
