Modified - Crabhammer is nothing special. Scissor Blow is good for the cost, doing 80 damage for only 3 energy. But I wouldn't wanna do 30 damage to myself. That just asks to get KOd next turn. That combined with his heavy retreat cost makes Kingler a subpar Pokemon! 1/5

Limited - Crabhammer only needs colorless energy so that's OK. But Scissor Blow would do 30 damage to Kingler just about every time, so it doesn't seem that good in this format either. 3/5
(03/10/08) - Kingler Lv. 33

Name: Kingler Lv. 33
Set: Great Encounters
Rarity: Rare

Analysis: Kingler is not really going to have an impact. It has 90 HP AND a retreat cost of 3?! It also has an attack that, should it KO the Defending Pokemon, will cause Kingler to damage itself. Well, this suicidal crab can still do 80 damage for only 3 energy, which is good, I guess. Other than that, nothing remarkable.

Modified: Cheap energy cost for 80 damage, with the draw-back of damaging itself after a KO. (2/5)

Limited: Pretty good, it can deal 1 or 2 KOs before it is knocked out. (3/5)

Modified: It can OHKO a Magmortar with a Scramble energy !! Too bad it does 30 damage to itself.
High retreat, 90 HP and pretty average attacks don't make this card special. I love the artwork though.

Rating : 1.5/5

Limited: This is the Format the go for with this card. 90 HP for a Stage 1 is good here and with 2 good attacks
it's worthwhile playing it. The high retreat cost is the only bad point.

Rating : 3/5
