Modified - Drawing 2 cards for 1 energy is decent. I'd rather use something like Pachirisu though and get a sure bet 3 Pokemon from my deck. Synchro Punch is too situational to be good. 2/5

Limited - Drawing cards is GREAT! Pack in a variety of energy types to ensure Spinda will do 40 damage. 5/5

Spinda Lv.25 P7

Good morning all of you humanoid life forms. Today’s COTD today is a decent card for a quick T2 kill. The HP is OK on a setup pokemon, the weakness stinks, and the retreat cost is expected. Now that the basics are out of the way, the first attack is somewhat different, draw a card from the bottom and a card from the top of your deck; I have no idea why that would be better than just drawing two cards but anyway… Spinda’s second attack is awesome what abused right, if Spinda has a basic energy that is the same type as the defending pokemon, it does 40 for (C) (Well, more like (Whatever energy the defending pokemon is using)…) But add is a Roseanne’s Research and if your opponent plays an energy on their active pokemon, you can start dishing out (Slight pun.) 40 damage per turn. Another cool thing, you can even throw one of these at an opponent with a rainbow energy or DRE on it and get 40 for any energy you want!

Pros –

Dish out is good setup.

T2 kill possibility

40 damage for (C) is nice

Cons –

Weakness stinks

Need specific energy

Can’t evolve

Modified – Play one in your Garchomp deck and you may see some results! 3.5/5

Limited – Yet again why, why would YOU want Pop packs in limited? X/5

I have some good news and some bad news, good news is I will be here to do my COTD’s next week, bad news is my vacation to Disneyland and the pokemon prereleases aren’t until the 10th and 11th… (Don’t ask how I mixed up my dates that badly.)

This is not bad at all its attack is basically draw 2 cards which is useful. Its syncro punch is strong even though kind of situational. Its Hp and retreat is absolutely acceptable .. the only problem is that better starters do exist.
