Arcanine

Unlimited - Bow down to Base Gastly. 1/5

Modified - I don't like it much. You use the attack, you have 60 HP left, opponent does 60 damage, boom you just lost 4 energy. It's good as a finisher though, if all you need is that final 6th prize. It's cool that the power can escape from Special Conditions. 2/5

Limited - You can quickly mow down just about any Pokemon, It's too bad you won't be able to attack for more than 2 times. 3/5

Arcanine Lv.48 SW

Is it Friday already? Wow, the week moves by so fast. Today’s COTD is Arcanine, one of my favorite fire pokemon of all time (Forgive me if I’m a bit one sided in this COTD.) Arcanine has always been one of those pokemon to carry their videogame strategy with them when a card is made of them. Arcanine has always been a hit and run pokemon, attack once with it then retreat to keep him from getting KOed. His card is no different, having 100 HP on a stage one is nice as he can just survive the attack of that “Raging Homicidal maniac monkey” Infernape. His power is nice, able to be a Growlith on the bench without energy one moment, then an active Arcanine with as many energies as he needs the next moment. Now, onto the attack, 120 for 2 (fire) and 2 (c) and then do 40 to Arcanine, although you usually don’t want to injure your own pokemon, this time is an exception. 120 damage is enough to OHKO everything other than Lv. X’s and Blissey (It can OHKO Torterra because it is weak to fire.) I could see a small line of this being used in a fire deck as a trump card.

Pros –
Stage 1
100 HP on a stage 1
120 damage
It’s power pwns. =P

Cons –
2 much retreat
Damages itself
Can be OHKOed by Empoleon

Unlimited – Sneasle make everything else slow, way slow. 1/5

Modified – Pros beat Cons it looks like he could be a contender. 4.25/5

Limited – OHKO any pokemon automatically and a power to help it get energies? OH YEA! 4.5/5

What’s that? Your 120 HP pokemon is going to kick my butt? Not anymore,
