Pojo's Pokemon Card of the Day

Wobbuffet Lv. 25

Diamond & Pearl

Date Reviewed: 08.03.07

Ratings & Reviews Summary
Unlimited: 1.17
Modified: 1.50
Limited: 3.33

Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale.
1 being the worst.  3 ... average.  5 is the highest rating.

Steve Silvestro

2006 10th at Worlds

Umm yeah... There are current like 3 playable Wobbs. And all of the other ones are better than this one. 1/5

Alex Bramham

UK Nationals Finalist 2007

A strange card indeed. Your opponent will certainly think twice about damaging it, but in essence it's as much a gamble for them as it is for you. Bench sniping leaves Wobbuffet redundant as does a one hit KO. Factor in the high retreat and the literal total dependence on the opponent's decisions and luck and Wobbuffet loses almost all appeal.

Wobbuffet Lv. 25 D&P
Dang! This card could’ve seen some play if only… He had 20 more HP, didn’t have psychic weakness (or only +10 like most basics,) and if he didn’t have 3 retreat cost. Oh well… I guess you’ve got to live with what you get. The attack is the weirdest attack I’ve ever seen, for a (P) and a © you could totally heal Wobbuffet AND do massive indefensible damage to the opponent, all you’d need is a lucky coin flip. Too bad though, with only 80 HP AND psychic weakness, he can get OHKO’ed by almost everything even with a energy root.
Pros –
Totally heals Wobbuffet with a good coin flip
Can do massive damage with a good coin flip
Cons –
3 retreat
Psychic weakness
OHKOing distance for the “Omega Incinerator” Infernape
Energy root will rotate out next year
Unlimited – This card won’t do very well in modified, yet alone Unlimited 1/5
Modified – nice attack, wrong pokemon 2/5
Limited – 50% chance of totally healing a 80 HP basic?!? Oh yea… 4/5
If only the pokemon card inventors weren’t so stingy with the HP,
“I am not stupid. Everyone else is just smarter than me.”

Wobbuffet Lv. 25 Diamond and Pearl

Unlimited: 1/5 No.

Modified: 1/5 No.

Limited: 1/5 No.

Overall just a bad card. It's better for lighting a BBQ than it is as a Pokemon card ;x
I lost a game because I couldn't get my fire Monkeys to kill this thing. It is iffy, but it is deadly in the hands of a lucky trainer. Plus he moves the counters, so he heals himself, most annoying for anyone trying to get past him. He has a high retreat cost, so don't expect him to get to the bench anytime soon once he's out. He is a wall that sticks around forever if you are lucky, but I would not really consider him for a deck, unless you want a very frustrated opponent. If you play this card against me, there will be deaths...
Limited-4/5 (80 hp on a basic is great, and he WILL NOT GO AWAY)

Well like the rest of this weeks cards .. NO GOOD...
If you didn't have to flip it might have a place in old fashioned alakazam deck. now it doesn't
unlimited 1.5
