Chimecho δ

EX Holon Phantoms

Date Reviewed: 01.08.07

Ratings & Reviews Summary
Unlimited: 1
Modified: 3.5
Limited: 1

Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale.
1 being the worst.  3 ... average.  5 is the highest rating.

2006 World
Chimecho d fits nicely into many modified decks, namely Flygon d decks, which can abuse delta rainbow and basic energy - the exact kinds Chimecho gets back.

It also works nicely with Meganium ex if you can fit the Holon Engine into your deck. The only downside of Chimecho d is it always ends up giving up a

prize to Delta (Raichu d/Exeggutor d), as the Zzzap & Cursed Stone damage add up quickly on 60 HP.

In unlimited, playing Holon supporters simply means you're opting to play significantly slower trainers.

You will draft very few, if any Holon supporters in modified. As a result, Delta Support is useless.

5th place Worlds 2006 (Also current "best looking player")
Chimecho d

Chimecho d is a very underrated card. It has amazing synergy with the Holon Engine, which just so happens to be the best engine in the game. A must in any Flygon d decks.

Unlimited: 1/5

Useless here. Holon supporters are too slow.

Modified: 4/5

Allows you to get "Free Holon Supporters" by discarding an energy, and just getting it back with Chimecho. Tis an amazing card in Sally/Flygon, and a few other things.

Limited: 1/5

Hook isnt very good, and you wont have enough Holon Supporters to make use of the power.

My reviews and ratings are for Modified only.

Chimecho d

Modified 3/5 - Although it isn't a total necessity, it is still nice to have for a deck using many Holon trainers. This Pokemon's most valuable asset is its Poke-Power, allowing you get back the Basic Energy that you mostly likely just discarded for the discard cost of playing your Holon trainer. However, this Pokemon doesn't work well in decks that needs a lot of Special Energies, like Feraligatr delta and Nidoqueen delta.

If your deck uses mostly Basic Energies, then definitely give this Pokemon a shot. 1 Chimecho d will probably suffice.

Chimecho d~I LOVE chimecho! This card is so underrated, I would play it in almost any deck that heavily relies on the holon engine because it basically gives you a free cost for any holon trainer. It is castform compatible and you can search it with mentor. I can live with a chime chime (as I call it) on my bench all day.
