Root Fossil - 3/5 They are useful not only for Cradily decks, but useful for stall decks, such as Politoed ex, in general, because you can employ hit-and-run tactics, and Swallow Up their main attacker for 120 damage.

Root Fossil

Root Fossil is inferior to Claw Fossil, cause the opponent is usually capable of doing 40 or more damage a turn, so healing 10 a turn is worse than damaging 10 each time it's hit. I'd even say it's worse than Mysterious Fossil since it has 50 hp. But there are 2 situations where you'll probably want to use Root Fossil. One is if you're using a deck with Cradily, another is if you're using a hit and run deck, you'll need all 12 fossils for those.

Unlimited - No real point to it here. I would just use Cleffa. 50% chance it might not get hit. 1/5

Modified - If you're using LM Cradily or a Politoed ex hit-and-run deck, they would be a good choice here. Otherwise don't use em. 3/5

Limited - Seems very good in this format. You can leave it active to stall while you get setup. 4/5

My name is Root Fossil
Don’t play me alone
When I got 10 Damage
I’ll use Spongy Stone

Unlimited: What for? None of it’s evulotions work here.

Rating : 1/5

Modified: You don’t really need it even if you would play Cradily (Strange Cave). So maybe as an extra back-up in a Cradily deck.

Rating : 1/5

Limited: Actually yea. Cause it can stall and your opponent doesn’t take a prize.

Rating : 2/5
