Deoxys’ attack requires 3 energy, one of which is a
special energy. You have to return two energy to your
hand to use the attack, setting you back two turns (not
good).
Combinations: -Blastoise [BS], Blastoise EX, Meganium
EX. Use their Poké-Powers to guarantee you have enough
energy to do “Energy Loop” every turn.
-Double Colorless Energy. If you use it on Deoxys, you
can attack every turn.
Unlimited: Must put DCE in your deck if you play this.
But don’t. It requires special energy to attack. At
least you won’t have to worry about the other two energy
getting SER/ER-ed. 1.1/5
Modified: There’s already basic, dark Pokémon with good
attacks (e.g. Rocket’s Sneasel EX, Rocket’s Hitmonchan
EX); there’s no need to use Deoxys. 1.1/5
Limited: Darkness and Dark Metal Energy are in this set,
so you can attack with it, but you shouldn’t draft it.
There are better big basic Pokemon to attack with. Like
Deoxys (Normal) 5/110. It can do 60 damage third turn
without forcing you to return energy to your hand. 1.2/5
